With Blatche out I would need around 16 to even think about take the Nets. I just don't know what the Nets can do underneath the basket without Brook and Blatche. They are going to get absolutely slaughtered on the boards.

Reggie Evans can handle the boards if Kidd plays him.

Agreed he's the only guy that can bang with West and Hibbert, but he's so bad offensively, and he always ends up getting in foul trouble.

Glad to hear other guys don't think I'm crazy to take 13 points with the Pacers.  Makes me feel a little better about laying the big points there.

Only thing i don;t like about Hibbert is that it may be a blowout.  Like Pacers -13 tho.

That's as embarrassing a half as the pacers can play.  They let the Nets shoot 45 shots...turns it over 10 times...and let 10 guys on the Nets score.  I'll take the under 2h as I don't think the Nets can keep it up.

It really wasn't in doubt. No sarcasm needed.

The Pacers -7 HT line was free money.

The Nets are the worst third quarter team in the league. They were outscored 28-20 tonight and on Christmas, were outscored 36-20 by an injury ravaged Bulls team.

If you look back beyond that you will see this quarter is where the Nets let leads go to big deficits and deficits go to blowouts making second halves very lucrative. But really with the Nets full game lines are lucrative too, when you fade this team.

If they are ever up against a top flight team and have kept it close at the half, pound the 2nd half line. But even if you did that tonight, you still covered the full game line!

I go way way back with this team and I'm saddened to say the only team definitely worse was 09-10 when they went 12-70. I'd say this is the 4th or 5th worst nets team I've ever seen and this team was a laughingstock for decades. To say those words makes me
just shake my head. The Nets have had some awful awful teams. Right now, this one is finding it's place near the top of the list.

I've been looking at the NBA future props, and found one that i'm going to keep my eye on.  One of the teams in the West I don't like is Houston.  They depend on one play, and the good teams in the West can eat them up in a series.  Right now they are -1100 to not win the West.  I'm going to see if they can hit a winning streak, and get the odds down a bit and take them to NOT win the Western Conference.  If they can somehow win tonight against OKC, they got 7 easy games after this.  I'd love to see them go on a big streak against bad teams, then lay the big juice against them.

Good looks Alan.  Totally agree they won't be able handle a full series against the best in the west.  As you've mentioned before they aren't consistent and come playoffs time I would definitely be comfortable with that bet.  Will be watching their odds in the next few weeks

    Cavs at Pacers

Looking at the schedule, the Pacers have won 4 straight...looks like they could win about 10-11 more before they go on a tough west coast trip.  Even most of those games they can win.  Could be a big stretch where the Pacers see an opportunity to get a few games lead on the Heat for home court.  Especially if Lebron is hurt and the Heat drop a few games here or there.

Looking at the matchup today obviously it looks like a blowout, and it could very well turn into a blowout, but I actually like the Cavs to play this game close, especially early.  Kyrie and Waiters hate eachother, but they can still score, and there have been some guys this year that have exploited the Pacers on the perimeter.  While the bigs aren't great for Cleveland, they are active.  Varejo is scrappy, and can make the rebounds harder for Hibbert and Thompson isn't super skilled, but he's bigger than most PF's that West has played recently.  Pacers seem to have gotten back to their ways of playing bad in the first halves, and this feels like a weird afternoon game where odd things can happen.

Going to take Cavs +7.5 1h, and it goes without saying we are playing the 1h under for the OH system.  Nothing would make me happier than to have a close 1h, and then take the Pacers 2h.  GL today Gents

Normally, I can find some tasty NFL playoffs futures to take advantage of, but I'm not finding them this year.  The AFC looks to be locked up by Denver, but being from Indy I've watched Peyton fall apart too many times in the playoffs.  In the NFC, the only one I'm looking at is Carolina to not win at -650, but with their defense I think they can win anywhere.  Looks like I'll pass on these.

I will say one bet I've found to be very profitable (laugh if you want, but it works) is betting on womens MMA fights.  Take the heavy favorite.  In men's fights, one punch can change the fight, and guys are strong enough to score a random takedown to get in a submission position...but there are hardly any upsets in womens MMA.  They don't punch hard enough to score a random one punch knockout, and in the women's division, the favorite is normallly way better than the opponent.  The last Ronda Rousey fight was a perfect example.  By the way, the MMA forum here has several guys that are very good at capping the fights.  Solid write-ups, they really know their stuff, and can be very successful.

These afternoon games can be really weird.  Not surprised the Pacers are struggling.  They've looked good at times, and lost at times.  Wondering if their mental and physical clocks are off.  Cavs are being scrappy, and doing a good job rebounding (as expected).  Gotta believe the Pacers win this, so I'm going to take a bit on Pacers -8.5 as I don't think the Cavs can keep it up, and once the pressure gets applied, the Cavs should fold up.  Hoping to go 3-0, but even 2-1 is profit so we are playing with house money with this bet.  No opinion on the Total.

I love the value we get when Pacers are down. A little scared of the Cavs competitiveness vs the possible rusty legs of the Pacers. Kinda feeling Pacers and the over
