Line is Bears +3
Should be a great contest.
Who do you like and why?
My lean here is under 46.5 and Bears ats
Enter Jeffrey Simmons for the Bears.
Enter Quenton Nelson for the Seahawks.
These 2 dudes have faced plenty of each other in the afc south.
Exiting Cole Kmet for the Bears.
A sneaky good glue guy, he's the longest tenured Bear on the roster. He lines up in multiple positions, inline TE, slot, fullback, a motion guy. Can do it all from blocking and catching, a TALL target. He's also done a few under center tush push plays in the past(not this year).
The Bears have Cobe Bryant on the sidelines. He was with the Seahawks last year. Could he help with identifying their tendencies on defense? Hard to say if a little or not at all. Denis Allen is a cerebral DC, he's done a lot with scheme throughout his career.
The Seahawks will be without Charles Cross at LT, and WR Rashid Shaheed. LB Uchenna Nwosu is doubtful.
Kyle Monongai out again for the Bears with turf toe. This is concerning at this point. Everyone heels differently to turf toe, it could be a problem all year.
Everyone on D looks healthy. TJ Edwards back at LB after missing 2 games.
And Montez Sweat back after a 2 game suspension. This dude has been a huge disappointment. He holds the biggest contract of any Bear, and is playing at a practice squad player level.
Fun fact, Jeffrey Simmons and Montez Sweat played together at Mississippi State. Drafted the same year. Reports are saying that Simmons has already demanded that Sweat play better than he has. Gave him a challenge of some sort, I don't remember the exact wording.
Not sure how the level of play on the Bears defense responds to Simmons, but I kind of love it. He comes in for 2 1st round picks and immediately talks like a true leader of the D, before ever taking one snap in a Bears uniform.
Something to watch out for.
Ben Johnson with extended time to prep, the Bears played on Thursday last week. If they do win, they would have beaten both last years SB teams b2b.

Here's an area of concern for the Bears, I think.
Caleb Williams has thrown 43.5% of his passes out of play action this year. That's the highest rate in the nfl.
He's only completed 50% of his passes out of play action. 23rd rank in the nfl.
The Seahawks defense has been elite vs the play action pass. Allowing 4.87 per pass. 0 td's, 3 interceptions, and 2 sacks.
On the bright side:
Caleb Williams has improved drastically vs zone coverage, and non blitzed downs this year. The Seahawks run the least man coverage, using 90% zone.
Caleb has a 71.3% comp percentage, and 107.3 passer rating vs zone.
The Seahawks blitz 20.9%, second least in the nfl. They get their pressure from the front 4 in most cases. Caleb Williams has a 65.4% completion percentage vs pressure. #2 in the nfl. And 72.4% from a clean pocket, #3 in the nfl.
If you are Ben Johnson, do you just let Caleb Johnson drop back and play QB tonight? There's no reason to turn your back to the defense on play action if they are going to be in zone 90% of the time.
Just my 2 cents

The Seahawks surrendered 26 offensive points to the Marcus Marriota led Commanders in week 3.
They used only 9 PA passes out of the 31 total pass attempts that game.
The Commanders run game was shut down by the Seahawks, as they usually do to most teams.

I think we'll see it's a bit of a step up to beat Seattle on the road vs NE at home. The Seahawks defense is great vs the run and the pass. Chicago has the top ranked run offense, perhaps that's why they play action so much (makes sense).
I think the two teams are evenly matched in many ways but can Williams go into Seattle and win a close game?
They actually played just 2 years ago and Seattle won 6-3. Geno was the QB. JSN only had 3 catches.
Probably be a bit different now with Darnold, Bears giving up the most yards per completion of any team in the NFL, might be a big problem when you are facing the best WR.

@undermysac
Seahawks were missing both starting Safety’s that game and started a 4th string Safety they cut a week after because of how bad he played. Seahawks defense is fully healthy minus Nowosu. Just a little insight from a big Seahawks fan.

You guys know the drill. Chicago is a short favorite to Buccs at home on snf next week and they will pound Seattle and the line will barely move. Seattle an 11 point favorite to Arizona who is now on the radar. The line will barely drop after a Seattle loss. Buccs will cover maybe even win and Seattle will blow out the cards. Bears +3 but I would probably grab alt line -6.5

Anyone see Seattle play there best game of the year so far dismantling the KC Chiefs?
If common sense prevails, Seattle should win this game by a touchdown. Play this game at soldier field and perhaps you have a better game but not with the noise level Seattles gonna bring. Granted Seattles QBs sketchy play has been suspect, but I trust Seahawks defense to perform well enough.
Caleb Williams is prone to throw interceptions and Seattle defense will oblige. Final score Seahawks 26 Bears 18
