ughh idk man, was out in Queens havin a few drinks celebrating the Lakers win and saw the ML pop up for -9.5 favored Davidson. you'd think after seeing OKC lose I'd have it fresh in my mind that there's no such thing as free money but bit on the -525 ML like a damn newbie fool. well an OT loss later and suddenly I was flashing back to my Laker wager wishing I put down double haha came out okay regardless.. couldve been much better if I'd just have a little discipline

-525 ML's???? No, please no.

Don't tell me you were drinking and made a bet where $100 pays you a little over $19!!!!

Lay the points for a little and of you lose get it back with a a little on a  late game (that is, keep it little). Pounding a ML like that leads you into the abyss.

worse.. went for the full monty 525 for 100. I CANT EVEN THINK OF WHY IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA. in retrospect a one pt loss coulda gone either way but it was a borderline insane bet nonetheless. not only will I say NEVER AGAIN right now, ill also repeat it in my head another 100 times before the day is done.

lesson learned, albeit one that certainly shouldn't have taken a stupid loss to learn. got way too cocky hittin heavy MLs lately. real real rookie move.

I would throw up all over the bar if I lost $525 for the benefit of $100.

You do know Curry is no longer with Davidson to bail you out from 3 right?

not gonna lie, I did a mad dash for my online book and threw 375 on the Suns in game line.. which was +6.5 while they were up by 3. Final score? a loss by 6, covering my original +9, the in game +6.5, and stealing some of my sanity in the process. its a new age today.

They certainly bailed you out!

I try to live in a world that assumes there is no in-game betting. 

It only leads to more hasty bets and more disastrous bankroll situations.

I've had to pull the car over on the shoulder on the Turnpike when listening to a game on the radio to get an in-game bet in. Trucks are roaring past me at 80, shaking me.

Commercial for laxatives or denture cleaners during a tight game? That's my signal to get a bet in!


Crazy. A real gold mine for the books to get more of our money...

But be careful, small losses can have you chasing late games you know little about and that turns into bigger losses. Before ya know it you have to hit your big bets to cover your small losses. I'm sure you're quite familiar with this.

All the time you put into the big bets and the only benefit is to cover you 'screwing around' plays...and you BETTER hit that major play or else...

Right, because they weren't getting 10 points against the Nuggets and they weren't getting 10 points against the Clippers.

The Lakers, as horrid as this team is, usually get TEN+ points in downturns.

So it's not like you wait for a 10 point spread with them. They get it and you have to pick a spot even from that.

They go up against WC powerhouses and those teams lay 10 even on the road against a team that rarely wins.

So, you even have to pick your spots with the Lakers getting ten.

Choose them getting 10 against the Clips and you miss the spread by a mere....36 Thursday night.

And it's not like I didn't supply an essay of justification for the pick.


See folks, now, with guys like "deeznuts" and "1999" their ilk, if you pick the Knicks too much, or if you pick the lakers too much, getting 10+ (which lately they've been getting), it's 'on point' in THEIR EYES, as though they are predictors of your picks before you pick them. As though this is some kind of psychic talent (in their eyes it is. When your ego is small as a mustard seed, it helps a great deal.)


This is in the face of the fact they contribute nothing in terms of capping to the site.

Oh, and don't have your team go down by 16 early because the game will be called with 10 minutes left in the second quarter!


These are the conditions that must be met to appease Covers Capper Stalkers.
