100 years ago in this country, there was a thriving hemp industry. There were hash bars all over the cities. Doctors came to your house to heal you when you were ill. Their suitcase would have had opium (heroin) and cocaine as medicines.

Now adays we use taxpayer monies to pay mouth breathing losers to stand guard in prisons packed to the gills with people whos only crime was to ignore unjust laws prohibiting the personal use of these plant products. Hell, theres guys that make a living having you bend over and look in your butthole for contraband

Steelers- A good friend of mine just got out of a federal prison. I visited him there a few times and he let me know how things worked in there. Sports betting is huge. Those guys will bet on anything. The one thing they don't bet with is tobacco. Smoking in federal prison is a huge no go so people don't even go there.

You can get the USA Today or any other paper delivered. You can also get gambling books as long as they're sent from a publisher. I used to send him the Gold Sheet every week during football season. He said you don't have to worry about getting paid because if anyone stiffs anyone else, no one in the entire place will do any kind of business with the guy. I think he had to do 85% of his sentence but I think you get six months taken off if you complete the drug program that is offered while you're in there.

He didn't commit a violent crime and this is his first time being arressted. Does he really need to do time? Especially time of this significant amount?

Thanks for saying that about my son. He means a lot to me, don't know how to explain to him where I'm going to be for so long. I got busted in Allegheny county. And I don't think gambling to an offshore account from a jail phone is an option. At least it don't seem likely but I don't know. And yes your right I did fuck up badly but don't deserve the 5 for the gun. It was my gun, registered to me, I have a carry permit and no criminal history and that gun was not there to facilitate a drug deal PERIOD

And the reason about wondering if sports betting is an option is because it's something I like to do! If you guys think that's the only thing on my mind right now your crazy. I'm preparing myself for what to expect so it's not a shock or disappointment to me. My son and girl are the biggest things that concern me right now

And the degree and all sounds nice but I have significant amount saved and I own a convenience store that the U.S. Government does not want seeing how I lease the building. So it's pointless other than a business degree so I don't need an account no more. Working out and gambling is all I want to do. Ive always read books, taught myself everything I have learned up til this point. I dont plan on hustling ever again so when I do get out I just go back to working my store and I'm fine with that. Feds got my 2009 F150 King Ranch and 1984 Fleetwood Brougham, there happy with that.

Maybe you`ll get out early on good behavior.

Watched a show called Lockdown on Discovery about state prison life. They bet sports like crazy in there with books on the inside. Pretty amazing how they move the card around the cells with long leashes.

If it happens regularly in state then federal for sure.

Hey man, congrats on the successful business. It sounds like you have a future to keep you straight when you get out and don't need a degree, but I think you have to have some discernible goals and accomplishments to mark the time you're there. It'll be a significant hole in your life regardless, but if you can say to yourself and immediate family, I accomplished this, this, and that, the time will go by more quickly and you'll feel better about yourself, as well as create some opportunities when you get out.

And Ktrain, this thread shows how small you really are, bringing your personal bickering into this topic where S07's future is at stake.

not really sure where there sending you but i started out in atlants federal pen. then transferred too lewisburg fed pen both had sportsbetting for cash you will figure out the money thing later once you get in i see your from pennsykvania so maybe you go too lewisburg

The people that he is/was dealing to are still going to get high. It will just be someone else supplying them. Now we have a father who won't be able to raise his son thru the most impressionable years because we have a flawed, broken system. A system that you seem to not have a problem with as evidenced by your agreeing that he should do time.
