Anybody ever been to Federal Prison?

STEEL -- I thought once the Grand Jury indicted you, that just meant the charges were brought, no? You could still contest the charges and put on a defense, can't you? I mean I understand the indictment isn't exactly a good thing, but it's not like you are automatically f***** when it comes in. Just means the prosecution had probable cause to bring the charges.

So Train, i understand that you need others to decide for you what is right and what is wrong. Those of us that are fans of freedom, decide for ourselves

worked in welding shop for most time started in kitchen till i got my level down and moved too welding shop and yes lewisburg has a working farm but only if you get sent too the medium/low they have outside the pen if you get too go there it will be easy sailing and also if you havent already you need too tell them you were a drug addict so you can go too the drug program its a 10 months long but takes a year off your sentence and sends you too halfway house early so thats 18 months you save so get in there see that case manager soon as you get in good luck on your journey and rememeber its only temporary and stay too your self esp. if your goin too a high

i dont no what you are talking bout if you think state time is worse than feds lets think about this since i did many years in both fed prison no parole you get 42 days a year good time state a 10 years sentence your out easily before that not fed in fed pens there are the sickiest most ruthless muther fuckers there is in state there is a bunch of nickle and dime crack dealers sucking dicks for commisiionary and dope take a trip too the pen with these coulmbians and italians then re think it

yea your correct but it means your fucked feds have a 99.9 percent conviction rate so you want win either way many have tried almost everyone has failed it sucks

I feel for you buddy. I can totally relate to how you feel.  I just did 8 months in county jail, for a bunch of lbs as well.  They also found a gun during a search warrant, and thank god I got the felony firearm dropped.  I was told it was 2 years flat, not 5.  Maybe its different in Pennsylvania. 
      You will have so many more luxuries than I had. You can get a flat screen in your room as others have said, and have access to cable tv.  Not so bad.  People run tickets, as they call them in there, and you can bet on anything. However, the currency is stamps, dont believe cigs are legal anymore. At least thats the case in Michigan.
      I had a long term relationship end because of this entire situation I put myself in.  She promised me that we would get through this, and she stuck it out until the day I got out.  Came home, she moved all her shit out of my condo, and told me it was over.   I had her placing bets for me while I was in there, having her meeting up with my bookie, the whole nine.  She had enough.  She didn't want to be apart of this criminal bs anymore.  Really hurt. 
Anyway, a bit of advice, keep your family out of it.  They have enough to deal with, with you being gone.  You will get through it, even if it seems like eternity.  Its not.  Stay strong, and if you need anything else don't hesitate to holler. 

I have a co-defendant who is about to be sentenced federally, and I think you can have your lawyer put in a motion to ask the judge to be sent to certain pens.  Some are alot easier than others. 

Must be nice to think that way and still be ignorant. You can quote all you want, but if you get caught with guns and drugs, you are going to jail. Tell the judge is not fair and you dont believe in that particular law and see what he says.

The problem is you are a "fan" of freedom, sitting on the sidelines critisizing others or laws in this case. It simply doesnt matter what you or I think, some things are inheritlantly right/wrong. Others are in the gray area. Guns with drugs in our country, wether you approve or not, is not a good idea if you dont wanna live behind bars.

So I'll live my life and keep my nose clean so I dont have to live by anothers say so. Good luck with the freedom cheering.

I hope I can get into Lewisburg or Loretto but the gun is gonna fuck my chances up bigtime.  And yes a Grand Jury dosent mean your going to jail yet but you have a 1% chance of beating a FED case so to plead guilty and get my guidelines dropped 2 or 3 points is IMO MY BEST OPTION. No I dont know Michael Lucerne or John Stansbury and yes I was busted in Allegheny county. No Im not from the West End. Thanks to all who had something serious to say and positive at that.

for sentencing tell your lawyer he can recommened where you go every one has that right with the feds they will try too keep you close too your family just dont make the mistake i did and request georgia where my family is from they sent me too atlanta fed pen and it had too be one of the worst pens in america but lewisburg isnt that bad there high at least not sure bout the medium just have too deal with them hillbilly muther fucking guards

You do NOT deserve any sort of punishment -- what's the "crime"? Anybody hurt? Any dead bodies?

The "crime" is the "breaking" of a federal "law", which is a legal-fiction, corporate "law", not any sort of real, substantive Law under the Organic Contitution of 1789, as Lawfully Amended.

The vast majority of people have NO clue as to what the "laws" are, so they are talking in the dark when it comes to these matters of "law".

Understand that the "laws" that you "broke" are commercial law, are "public law" -- both of which stem from the Maritime/Admiralty system of "laws" that absolutely are NOT under the aegis of the Organic Constitution as created by our Founding Fathers.

But the feds don't give a fuck, nor do the vast majority of people who work inside the system, i.e. cops, judges, Attys, etc.

But I have good news for you -- you are more than likely not going to prison come next year in April of 2012, why? It's because the current system -- the corporate system of the feds, state and county systems of "laws", codes, ordinances, statutes, etc, are going to be repealed sometime early next year.

And they will be replaced with the original Constitution that we had in the first place and one consequence would be that there'd be tens of thousands of prisoners who will be released from prison who have "comitted" non-violent crimes, and those who are scheduled to go to prison will not go.

There are three systems of laws -- ecclesiastical, substantive (i.e. Constitution) and corporate laws. ALL drug laws fall under the corporate system of "laws", so they will no longer apply once the current system of federal power finally falls in the next few months.
