I understand that it wasn't one joint. But what is the difference between him distributing one joint or 3 keys of coke? Either way someone has to choose to use his product or he doesn't have a business anyway. And right now those same people are finding their drugs from someone else that has 3 keys that just hasn't been caught yet.
I blame the Govenment for its stance on the war on drugs and sentencing guidelines. If Steel had been caught in a shoot out with someone or beating someones ass because of a bad deal then I would agree with you. But from his account, and that is all I have to go by since I don't know the details, he is non violent, first time offender and the gun was in a box in the car, not on him and seemingly not in any position to be used.
The highlighted part IS EXACTLY how I feel when I read all of the Repubs in the Political Forum. Maybe now you understand why there are a few of us in there that tell you guys to shut up all the time and make fun of you.

Is the 79 months after a plea? My buddy is getting out any day now. He been in for 3 yrs, was looking at 10 but he got busted with a zone of powder, scale,8th of sum funk about 100 vikes, stolen glock during a traffic stop then he got set up n busted by the task force with like 20k and like a qtr

He was upstate pa now in mercer county n he did his 3 years good from what I can tell, and he's about 5''9 140 lil white kid and ever since he went in nobody wanted to fuck with him, family n friend wise. I was the only one that kept in touch. I just don't see how you're getting so much time when the gun was consealed n registered to u either way good luck to u man, hope ur straight and got ur head right.....*peace sign

I did 18 months, not in federal. You can find some action in there if you look in the right spots. My advice to you is don't trust ne1, don't make many friends, and keep yourself occupied by working out, reading, etc. The toughest part is the first 2 weeks and the last 2 months. Everything in between should be ok as long as you get into a daily routine to pass the time and are not sitting around all day. GL

it was registered in your name? and they gave you 5 years because they proved that it was part of the transaction? and it was in the back of your car in a storage box?
i agree with the 5 for the 3 keys. but the 5 for the gun charge must burn your ass.

Actually I have 3 lawyers and they're very good. it doesnt matter that I have a permit and its registered to me if you have drugs with your gun your fucked. Im just pissed it was in the truck I knew that law and never carried my gun when I worked. Just forgot about cause anyone who has ever moved knows its easy to forget where you packed things at. If the Grand Jury decides to indict you then your fucked. 23 people they only need 16 votes to indict. Your not even allowed to have your lawyer in a Grand Jury. Its just you, the U.S. attorney 23 school teachers/nurses/doctors/model citizens that never had a parking ticket. Its unconstitutional IMO

i did a a 4 year bid in san quintin and a few more prisons out here in northern calif. what i use to do is call on a three way. i called one my old ladies or my daughter and they would call the 1 800 number for my off shore acct. i would get the line and call back later. i had to pay a few guys to use there phone time. but i made some nice loot while i was in there. also subscribe to a buch of newspapers and the sporting news. you will be ok bro time goes by when your busy in there. get your self a nice lil job and stay out of folks business. good luck!!

dude i did state time 10 yrs. there is everything you want. you got money you can gamble, and yes there are books inside. be very carefull who you fuck with. fed time is alot better than state you will be ok. sucks you got to do like 90 percent of your time. my uncle was in feds in fla. trafficing drugs.keep your head up. feeling your pain hommie. where you from. .
