This is a totally different game then the first one and more points will be scored, say 20-17 or so (if not more). With such a lay-off, so many commercials breaking the continuity of play and other factors this game will not resemble the first one.
The offenses will get some (as well as the defenses and special teams most likely), but if it did play the same you really have to believe the head coach from Alabama would rely more on his defense (considering how good they are in big games) by punting the opponents deep instead of trying long field goals, but this is Saban with the EGO of a god. He would do the same thing most likely since he is who he is and who knows, maybe they make a field goal.
I for one am really interested in this game no matter the unfair system. The winner will be the champion of nothing, LSU already won the conference, the only thing teams really control and matters to anyone with common sense or bettors or fans of one of the two teams, but it will be interesting, but just another exhibition disguised as a championship in reality just as Auburn's was last year coming from an Auburn fan.
The win in the SEC championship game last year by Auburn over South Carolina meant so much more then beating a game set up by voting and computers designed by people because it was earned on the field as sports is supposed to be. It is illogical to care about national championships in division 1, now the lower divisions matter, they actually get to earn theirs.
Congrats to LSU for winning the SEC championship, you have already proved the best team in the best conference. The upcoming game will be interesting, more big plays with so much time for coaches to practice, study the last game and the defenses standing around while endles big dollar sponsored commercial (like the super bowl) bombard the public with their subliminal lines and sounds commercials that they pay so much for (and please, no comments about subliminal's being against FCC rules or government laws, I'm talking about reality here...MONEY...All is fair regarding money and power as it always has been...Just another game to bet on, but should be hard hitting and a chance to see one last game...

I can't (and don't care) to read every freakin' response in this thread, but I've ready many. A few things to throw out given what I've read:
-Okie St can't hang with either LSU or Alabama. To think they could is just outright stupidity or homerism.
-The BCS, despite it's flaws, put the two best teams in the country in the NC game. Oregon, Oklahoma, Stanford, Okie St...name the team and line them up...they couldn't stay within double digits of LSU or Alabama.
-The true "strength" of LSU vs Bammy schedules is inconclusive in terms of who is the better team. Point: if the best college team in history plays Sally Fort Worth 10 times in a season, does that make them a bad team? WTF? The difference in their schedule is marginal, and has nothing to do with who the better team is.
-Strength of schedule gives you an idea of how good a team is. It does not determine the best team. Fuck, people.

And this as every other thread here (including mine) is based on opinion. Being that opinion decides everything in college football with the exception of conference championships makes since...

oklahoma state is a fraud they played one team with a defense in the top 60 and lost to iowa state which had a defense ranked 98th and had a lead in the game in the third quarter. In the bcs, the team that loses first in the season has the best shot to get back to second which bama did and for saban to vote oklahoma state fourth is rather smart considering how much money is paid out to bcs winners and for doing so is smarter than gundy. I am sure you will be even more disappointed when your team loses in the fiesta bowl.
