The Toronto Argonauts are a much better team with Chad Kelly at quarterback now than they were in 2025 with a whole mess of backup quarterbacks under center for the season.
I trust the Roughriders to win this game, but the current 3.5 point spread makes me uncomfortable, so I’m choosing to play the Moneyline instead.
If there were line movement before kickoff, I’d gladly take the Roughriders spread up to -2.5.

Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly’s career average is 10 yards per pass attempt. He has averaged 11.1 yards per attempt through two games this season, while compiling a staggering 869 passing yards in those two contests.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders defence is missing a number of important pieces in the secondary, and Chad Kelly is poised to take advantage of that.
I’d bet Over on his passing yards line up to 328.5 at -115.

Both of Saskatchewan’s games this season covered the Over easily, by 5.5 and 26.5 points respectively.
Toronto has covered the Over in both of their two games by 12.5 and 15.5 points, respectively.

The forecast in Regina is for temperatures around 22C with winds from 25-40kph.
Mosaic Stadium is built with the playing surface well below ground level to mitigate the effects of wind on the passing game, but it can still play a significant role in the kicking game.
When winds crack 40kph there, punts and kicks can seemingly hit a wall when they get above ground level.
I’ll be watching to see which team has the wind at their back each quarter to potentially play Quarter Spreads in their favor.
