While purchasing coins was a breeze, we were a little miffed that there weren't a ton of banking options to choose from. However, this shouldn't deter players from topping up their coin balances if need be, since it was super easy to do.

Unfortunately, Big Pirate doesn’t accept many payment methods. For now, you can only purchase coin bundles with Visa, Mastercard, or Apple Pay.

Rum Coins
What’s different about Big Pirate is that it introduces a third currency into the usual Gold Coins and Diamonds (the site's equivalent of Sweeps Coins), in the form of Rum Coins. A Big Pirate mobile app does not yet exist. Still, its website is mobile-optimized, so you shouldn’t run into issues navigating it on a smartphone.
The only complaint we have about Big Pirate’s mobile experience is that it made our smartphone screen feel crowded. This was especially true when playing its island-building game. It doesn't stop the fun by any means, it's just kind of annoying.
We hope Big Pirate addresses this and continues to make its mobile setup easier to use.
Security and license
Big Pirate is a social casino, not a real-money casino, so you can play its games for free. This lets BigPirate operate without a traditional online gambling license.
You can score free GC, Diamonds, Rum Coins, and Claw Machine credits at every turn, simply by signing in to your account each day.

The building blocks are in place for good customer support, but Big Pirate still has room to improve the execution.
Live chat is our preferred method for contacting customer support at social casinos, and we didn’t always have much success with this feature at Big Pirate. While it’s available to all players, we ended up waiting in a long live chat queue several times before giving up.
When we tried again a couple of hours later, it was much better, and we got through to an agent within a couple of minutes. This should be the standard rather than the exception. To be fair, it should be a pretty easy fix to simply have more available agents moving forward.
