My Austria vs. Algeria predictions and World Cup picks for Saturday, June 27 break down the key Group J match, with both sides still hoping to advance to the knockout rounds.

Algeria are the slight moneyline favorites with odds around +255, while Austria are the +260 underdogs. I'm looking to the 3-way moneyline for my best bet on this game, while counting on a low score but hoping for Marcel Sabitzer to break through as Austria's goal scorer.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Austria vs Algeria tonight? Draw (+133)

The winner is guaranteed a place in the knockout stage, but there's even more at stake in this match. A draw would secure Austria's place in the Round of 32 and give Algeria a strong chance of qualifying as one of the eight best third-placed teams.

It wouldn't be the first time two teams settled for a result that benefited both sides, and that could well be the case on Saturday in Kansas City.

Keep in mind that the results of the matches played before Austria vs. Algeria kicks off could make the situation even clearer, meaning a draw might secure automatic qualification for both teams.

The odds for this game reflect its unique circumstances, with the draw priced shorter than usual. I'm taking Kalshi's +133.

Austria vs Algeria Over/Under pick: Under 1.5 (+134)

The 0–0 scoreline at kick-off could very well remain unchanged throughout the match. Neither side is likely to take unnecessary risks if a draw suits both teams, so I’m going one step further than the draw prediction and backing a 0–0 result here.

I’m also looking at Kalshi’s attractive price of +144 for Under 1.5 goals, and I’m taking that option as well.

Austria vs Algeria goal scorer pick: Marcel Sabitzer (+426)

Marcel Sabitzer is arguably Austria’s most important attacking player at the moment. His versatility, mobility, and wide range of attacking qualities make him a constant threat.

He can score, create chances, shoot from distance, chip precise passes over the defense, and is dangerous both inside and outside the penalty area. So far at this World Cup, he has registered one assist against Jordan.

Even though I expect a low-scoring affair in Kansas City between Austria and Algeria, if there’s one player I’d back to unlock the game, it’s Sabitzer.
