The Golden State Valkyries will play their second game in as many nights when they host the Seattle Storm at Chase Center on Saturday.
My Storm vs. Valkyries predictions and free WNBA picks call for a low-scoring game between two offensively-challenged squads.
Read on to see why I’m taking the Under and why I expect Golden State to win the first half while Dominique Malonga crashes the glass and gets more buckets.
TOP PICK
Storm vs Valkyries prediction: Under 157.5
Both teams rank in the Top 3 in Under percentage, as the Seattle Storm are 19-22, and the Golden State Valkyries are 17-24.
The V’s sport the W’s top-ranked defense and slowest pace, which will limit a Seattle offense averaging the third-fewest ppg at just 82.7. Golden State comes in just behind the Storm at 82.6 ppg.
The Storm and V’s are tied for the second-worst shooting percentage at 42.5%, and points will be tough to come by tonight.
I’ll play this one down to 155.5 in what should be an ugly slugfest in San Fran.

Storm vs Valkyries combo
Golden State leads the W in first-half point differential at 6.6 ppg, outscoring opponents by 14.7 ppg across their last three. Conversely, Seattle is tied for the worst first-half point differential at -4.7 ppg.
Back the home team to take the lead into the break.
Dominique Malonga has averaged 10.3 rebounds across her last 16 games, grabbing double-digit boards nine times. In that span, she’s corralled 10.5 rebounds per game on the road.
Playing in a matchup of two of the worst shooting teams in the W, I expect plenty of rebounds for the Storm center.

Storm vs Valkyries player prop: Dominique Malonga Over 14.5 points
Malonga has excelled as a scorer this season, averaging 16.8 ppg and scoring 15+ in 21 of 31 appearances. She’s reached that mark in 10 of 17 road games, and she averaged 15 points across two tilts with the V’s this season.
Over her last 10 outings, Malonga has averaged 18 ppg, including 20.3 over her last four on the road. Golden State’s ability to defend the perimeter will turn this contest into an inside-out attack, which benefits Malonga, who ranks second in PITP with 11.6.
This is an appropriately priced line that I’ll play down to 65%.
