When the Atlanta Dream hit top gear, it's hard to ignore the championship upside — and they'll have the Chicago Sky in their sights tonight at Gateway Center.
With a long injury list and a woeful road record, the deck looks stacked against Chicago here, and my Sky vs Dream predictions signal one-way traffic for a locked-in Atlanta squad that enters as a -13.5 favorite.
Read on for my WNBA picks and a breakdown of this September 19 clash.
TOP PICK
Sky vs Dream prediction: Dream -13.5
The Chicago Sky are limping through the final days of this WNBA season, and a depleted lineup should make them easy pickings for the Atlanta Dream.
Chicago is 2-7 ATS in its last nine outings and could be without four of its top six scorers tonight. The Sky’s 30-point loss to the Washington Mystics on Thursday put a spotlight on their thin depth, but this pick is just as much about a ferocious Dream defense that forces the most turnovers in the league (16.0 per game).
Atlanta has won the last seven meetings between these teams, and the hosts offer good value here, having covered the spread in five of their past seven contests. I’d play this to -14.5.

Sky vs Dream combo
Big wins for the Dream usually stem from Angel Reese and Allisha Gray.
Reese averaged 14.6 rebounds per game in August, and Azura Stevens’ absence leaves Chicago especially vulnerable on the glass. Kamilla Cardoso is also a clear candidate for foul trouble as she tries to defend the paint single-handedly.
Thursday's 44-point demolition of the Connecticut Sun saw Reese do most of her damage as a scorer, but I see her rebounding tally as the standout stat tonight.
Gray should walk into open looks against a Sky defense that allowed 110 points earlier this week, and she's nailed 2+ threes in seven of her last nine games.
Sky vs Dream combo
- Dream -13.5
- Angel Reese Over 12.5 rebounds
- Allisha Gray Over 1.5 threes

Sky vs Dream player prop: Jordin Canada Over 6.5 assists
Jordin Canada is so often the unsung difference-maker for Atlanta, and I expect her to be back among the assists tonight after a quieter outing against Connecticut this week.
Canada is averaging 7.2 assists per game this season, including nine dimes in a win over Chicago back in July, and she’s a big reason that the Dream offense is humming to the tune of 97+ points in seven of their last nine contests.
If Natasha Cloud (questionable) draws the Gray assignment, look for Canada to run even possessions on the way to cashing this Over.
