Two WNBA teams looking for their first win of the season meet this afternoon when the Connecticut Sun hosts the Seattle Storm.

Diamond Miller finally gets the opportunity to shine, and my Storm vs. Sun predictions expect the Maryland product to continue her strong scoring production.

Read on for my WNBA picks for Sunday, May 10.

Storm vs Sun prediction

Storm vs Sun best bet: Diamond Miller Over 7.5 points (-112)

Connecticut Sun forward Diamond Miller put up 16 points in a blowout loss to the Liberty, going 1-of-6 from downtown, yet still finding ways to score.

Miller is Connecticut’s leading scorer and primary offensive option, and six three-point attempts and five trips to the charity stripe in a 33-point loss tell you everything about her shot-seeking mentality.

The Seattle Storm ranks 12th in defensive rating (119.7), and they are young and exploitable. We’re getting a low point total at a reasonable price in a fast-paced game for a “diamond” to shine.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Connecticut Sun plays at the third-fastest pace, and its 19 ppg from turnovers should help fuel Miller’s scoring prop.

Storm vs Sun same-game parlay

Saniya Rivers ran the Sun offense to the tune of six assists in her season debut, and her playmaking directly benefits Miller.

On the other side, Natisha Hiedeman attempted four three-pointers in her Storm debut and faces a Sun defense ranked 10th in defensive rating (119.1) while allowing 10 made threes per night.

Storm vs Sun SGP

  • Diamond Miller Over 7.5 points
  • Natisha Hiedeman Over 1.5 made threes
  • Saniya Rivers Over 4.5 assists

Storm vs Sun first basket scorer: Natisha Hiedeman (+550)

Seattle knocked down a three-pointer to open their season debut, and Hiedeman is the trigger woman to repeat that script.

Dominique Malonga figures to win the opening tip against Brittney Griner, giving the Storm first possession and a clean look for their primary perimeter weapon.

Hiedeman attempted four triples opening night and figures to be involved early in Seattle's offensive sets.

At +550 the price is right for Hiedeman to drain the first bucket of the game.
