While the size of the New York Liberty's Game 1 win over the Minnesota Lynx was surprising, the fact that New York got the win shouldn't have been. The Liberty have now beaten Minnesota in three of their four meetings this season, covering in all four games.
The Lynx are floundering down the stretch, having going 1-5 in their last six games and 0-6 ATS in that span. That includes two double-digit losses to the Liberty.
New York went 15-8 at home this season, and I'm taking the Liberty to win Game 2 outright at up to 45%.
COVERS INTEL: The Lynx allow 11.9 second chance points per game, the fourth-most in the WNBA, while drawing the fewest fouls per game (16.5) — a combination that gives opponents a major edge when it comes to scoring easy points.

Another reason to like the Liberty tonight is the collapse of Minnesota's offensive output down the stretch. In their last six games, the Lynx have averaged 80.2 ppg — a number that drops to 76.0 ppg if we ignore a 101-point outburst against the Connecticut Sun. Both the Liberty and Lynx have hit the Under in five of their last six games respectively, and I'm on the Under tonight.
One woman we can always count on getting buckets is Breanna Stewart. Since the FIBA World Cup break, Stewart has averaged 28.0 ppg. That includes putting up 34 points on 11-for-18 shooting on Sunday against Minnesota. I'm backing Stewart to get to 25+ points again in Game 2.

While Stewart is best known for her scoring and rebounding prowess, she is somewhat underrated as a passer. For her career, Stewart is averaging 3.2 assists per game, and she's averaged at least 3.3 assists in every season she's spent in New York.
Stewart has picked up at least four assists in each of her last four games, including six against the Lynx in Game 1. Minnesota allows the fourth-highest assisted shot percentage in the WNBA (68.5%), and I'm happy to back Stewart to get 4+ assists at up to 60%.
