The Seattle Storm will look to get another home win over the Chicago Sky as the teams face off on Sunday afternoon.
Both Seattle and Chicago like to play fast, and that has me backing the Over in my Sky vs. Storm predictions. Let's dive into my full WNBA picks for Sunday, Aug. 16.
Sky vs Storm prediction
Sky vs Storm best bet: Over 176.5 (-112)
The Chicago Sky and Seattle Storm aren't elite offensive teams, but they tend to play to higher totals than you'd expect.
The Sky rate second in pace among WNBA teams, while the Storm are also faster than average. Both teams rank in the bottom half of the WNBA in defensive rating, with Seattle giving up 88.5 ppg and Chicago allowing 90.2 ppg.
The Storm have played above 176.5 points in six of their last seven games, while the Sky have done so in seven of 10 contests.
I'm taking the Over, and would do so up to 177.5.

Sky vs Storm same-game parlay
The Storm may have gotten the best of the Sky in their last meeting, but Chicago is certainly the better team.
Seattle has lost 12 of its last 13 games, has the third-worst scoring offense in the WNBA (83.3 ppg), and is shorthanded without Natisha Hiedeman (15.4 ppg), who scored 18 points in Monday's win over the Sky.
I like Chicago to cover at up to -4.5.
On the other side of the ball, Kamilla Cardoso (14.5 ppg) has been coming up big for the Sky in August. She's averaging 16 ppg in her last five outings, including a 20-point performance on Wednesday.
Cardoso should have her way with a shaky Seattle defense tonight.
Sky vs Storm SGP
- Over 176.5
- Sky -2.5
- Kamilla Cardoso Over 15.5 points

Sky vs Storm player prop pick
Kamilla Cardoso Over 9.5 rebounds (+110)
Cardoso has been a force on the glass for the Sky, averaging 8.6 rebounds per game this season. She's picked up 12+ boards in three games so far in August, including going for 13 rebounds against the Storm in their Monday meeting.
That number isn't surprising, as Seattle ranks only 10th in rebounding rate (48.6%). Chicago doesn't have much strength on the glass outside of Cardoso either, averaging a total of just 32.7 rebounds per game.
Cardoso will get to a lot of missed shots tonight, and I like her rebounding prop at even money or better.
