Aliyah Boston Indiana Fever WNBA

With Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese both sidelined, this latest instalment of the Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky rivalry is missing its two main characters – but that may not be enough to halt the run of lopsided battles as the teams collide at Gainbridge Fieldhouse tonight.

Indiana has won four in a row against Chicago, with a combined victory margin of 96 points, and my Sky vs. Fever predictions expect the hosts’ big guns to fire here to paper over a mounting injury list.

Sky vs Fever predictions

My Sky vs Fever best betAliyah Boston 15+ points (-128 at FanDuel)

If Caitlin Clark’s groin injury wasn’t bad enough, the Indiana Fever got hit with a double whammy this week when Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson were both ruled out for the rest of the season.

That just adds to the scoring burden that Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will have to carry in the weeks ahead, and I expect both to put up big stat lines tonight against the Chicago Sky.

This Boston points prop feels like the best value on the board, with the Indiana forward averaging 15.1 PPG this year and set for even more volume in this shortened Fever rotation.

I’m looking past her four-point dud on Thursday against the Phoenix Mercury. That was an off-night for most of the Indiana scorers, and Boston reached the 15-point mark in three of her prior four contests.

It helps that Chicago’s defense has been a mess at times during an ugly 1-9 stretch. The Sky have allowed 85+ points in seven of those 10 outings, and there’s no obvious answer to match up against Boston’s athleticism in the paint.

There’s a path to 35+ minutes here if she can stay out of foul trouble – and, in turn, an uptick on her 11.2 FGA per game. If Mitchell is bottled up on the perimeter, watch for the Fever to lean on Boston in the post to spark the offense.

Sky vs Fever same-game parlay (SGP)

Aliyah Boston 15+ points

Fever -10.5

Rachel Banham 10+ points

The Fever have owned this matchup in recent years, winning six of the last seven meetings and covering the spread in all of those contests.

Their limited depth is a concern, but I’m still laying the points tonight, especially as Chicago is 1-9 ATS in its past 10 games.

Someone has to put the ball in the basket for the Sky, and Rachel Banham has stepped up with some timely offense in recent weeks.

She’s scored 13+ points in five of her last seven games, and I’m wagering that she’ll get to a double-digit tally again here.
