The Las Vegas Aces demolished the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, and they’ll look to stay hot when they return to Mohegan Sun Arena for tonight’s rematch.

Chennedy Carter has found her groove early in the season, and my Aces vs. Sun predictions call for the electric, microwave scorer to keep getting buckets against a flimsy Connecticut defense.

Aces vs Sun prediction

Aces vs Sun best bet: Chennedy Carter Over 14.5 points (+102)

Despite bouncing around the W and playing internationally in 2025, Chennedy Carter is a career 15.5 ppg scorer who's dropped 14+ in 47 of 87 career games, including 24 of 33 in 2024.

She won’t hit 73% of her shots all season, but her 48.7% shooting in 2024 was best among guards who played 25+ minutes per game.

Tonight, she’ll face a Connecticut Sun team that's allowed the second-most points (97.7) and third-highest FG% (50.5) and boasts the fastest pace (103.2).

Scoring opportunities will be there for Carter, and she could see more playing time if this one turns into another rout.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Carter’s 48.7% shooting in 2024 is the 11th-most efficient season all-time among guards with at least 10 FGAs per game.

Aces vs Sun same-game parlay

Connecticut’s “sunset” season has been anything but competitive thus far, and it’s clear the organization is looking ahead to 2027 when the team becomes the Houston Comets and lands JuJu Watkins with the first pick in the draft.

The Sun rank in the Bottom 3 in offensive and defensive net ratings, and the Las Vegas Aces are defending champs. This should be another blowout.

Connecticut lost its two top scorers from a season ago in Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles, depleting an already-struggling offense even further. Connecticut will have trouble scoring, and I expect an Under for a fifth time in six head-to-head matchups between these two teams.

Aces vs Sun SGP

  • Chennedy Carter Over 14.5 points
  • Aces -15
  • Under 171.5

Aces vs Sun first basket scorer: Stephanie Talbot (+1600)

Stephanie Talbot has started each of Las Vegas’ three games this season. The Aces won two of the opening tips, and Talbot attempted the team’s first shot twice, making one of them.

Talbot’s playing time has dipped from 19 minutes to 18 to 12, due at least partly to game script, but all we’re concerned with is the first bucket. Connecticut has won the opening tip in all three of its games, but the opposing team has scored the first bucket in all of them.

I like Talbot to stay involved early, as she’s done thus far.
