Four WNBA playoff-bound teams will be in action Friday night, and each will be a heavy favorite as each battles a team that's already looking to next season.

The 3rd-seeeded Las Vegas Aces will host the Toronto Tempo, while the 4th-seeded Atlanta Dream will take on the Portland Fire, just freshly eliminated from the playoff picture.

Indiana is hosting Connecticut, while Washington is in LA to take on the Sparks. Read below for the best WNBA picks & moneyline plays for Friday, August 28.

Expert WNBA moneyline picks for August 28

Sun vs Fever pick: Fever

Kalshi probability: 94%

The Indiana Fever are the highest-scoring team in the WNBA, averaging 96.6 points per game and ranking among the top in both field-goal and 3-point shooting.

The Connecticut Sun is the lowest-scoring team in the league, and the only squad below the 80-point-per-game plateau.

The Fever have ripped off five straight wins in this head-to-head, including a 35-point demolition the last time they met on July 22.

One game separates the 5th-seeded Fever from the 4th-seeded Dream and 3rd-seeded Aces as the teams jockey for home-court advantage in the playoffs.

With plenty to play for, the Fever don't mess around and lay another whipping on the Sun.

Fire vs Dream pick: Fire

Kalshi probability: 14%

We're picking a massive upset, but this matchup has all the makings of a trap game for the Atlanta Dream.

Atlanta has already clinched its playoff berth and just swept a 4-game road trip out West, which included a takedown of the defending champs.

They return home to take on a lightly regarded Portland Fire team that has lost three in a row, but the Fire did hang a 10-point loss on Atlanta the last time they met.

This will be Atlanta's second-to-last game before the FIBA break, and their last game is against the Minnesota Lynx, a big-time show-me matchup against the title favorites.

It's hard not to overlook Portland or pencil them in as a W, but they did come into Atlanta in July and shot 60% from the field, including 14-for-29 from 3-point range at 48%.

You might be far more comfortable taking the underdog on the spread, but the odds here are strong enough for me to take the shocker of a result.

Tempo vs Aces pick: Aces

Kalshi probability: 90%

I'll go with the Las Vegas Aces to hold serve at home against the injury-riddled Toronto Tempo.

They've beaten Toronto twice this year, both by double digits, and the Tempo are about the most injured team in the WNBA.

Marina Mabrey (adductor), Brittany Sykes (foot) and Nyara Sabally (calf) are all out, leaving Toronto down its three leading scorers on the season, while Aneesah Morrow (knee) is also on the shelf.

Vegas ranks in the Top 5 in both scoring and points allowed, and should have little trouble disposing of a team that has one win in its last 15 games.

Mystics vs Sparks pick: Mystics

Kalshi probability: 67%

This is about the best number you're going to get for a favorite on this slate, and that's likely because the Los Angeles Sparks have beaten the Washington Mystics in four of the last six head-to-heads.

But don't let that H2H history fool you: Washington is tied for the second-best record in the WNBA over the last 10 (7-3), and they boast the league's second-best scoring defense, allowing just 83.2 points per game.

The Sparks have been in extended garbage time for a while now, with just three wins in their last 17. They are getting lit up on defense, allowing 92.5 points per game, which ranks 14th.

The Mystics handled LA in their last meeting on Aug 15, and you should see much the same Friday.
