Atlanta blasted L.A. by 36 points inside Cyrpto.com Arena on Aug. 20, easily covering as a 9.5-point favorite.
Oddsmakers have the same spread set for this rematch, and considering the motivations of each side, my Dream vs. Sparks predictions don’t see the final result being all that different.

The Atlanta Dream eliminated the Los Angeles Sparks from postseason competition with a blowout win last week.
That has the Sparks front office pressuring head coach Lynne Roberts to spread the minutes and involve more bench players in the home stretch.
Los Angeles’ minutes have swung toward the reserves in recent games, with an average five-minute drop from the starters in the last three outings.
Atlanta, on the other hand, is fighting for a Top 4 spot in the tournament and leans on its starting five more than any team in the league.
COVERS INTEL: Atlanta dominated L.A. inside for 56 points in the paint on Aug. 20. The Dream are the No. 1 interior attack (43.8 PITP) while the Sparks allow the second-most PITP (42.9) on 63.5% shooting within eight feet of the basket.

Allisha Gray went just 1-for-2 from distance in last week’s run-in with Los Angeles. That was just the second time in the last eight games the Dream’s guard failed to knock down at least two triples.
Gray has battled inconsistent shooting from outside most of the season, firing at a sub-28% clip during a 21-game span. She’s gotten hot at the right time, connecting on more than 40% of long-range looks in her last eight outings.
Angel Reese has dished out four or more dimes in three of her last four outings, and she'll reach that number tonight with ATL in full control.

Angel Reese is doing it all for Atlanta in recent outings. Not only is she crashing the glass and clamping down on defense, but she’s been a conduit for the Dream’s scoring.
As defenses pack the paint to slow down the superstar forward, Reese has passed out of pressure and found open teammates for four or more assists in three of her last four games. That includes an 8-assist effort in the win over the Sparks last week.
Los Angeles allows the second-highest average assists to opponents (22.7), and that’s jumped to 24.7 over the past three contests, with those foes recording an assist on 68.5% of field goals.
Most projections sit at three dimes from Angel, but my forecast is higher, considering the competition and uptick in playmaking. I see good value in this plus-money prop at Over 3.5 assists
