The line moving 2.5 points from +3.5 to +6 in some spots has led me to bite into Detroit on Thursday Night Football. Dan Campbell knows how to get his guys ready for primetime, too - he's 13-3 SU and 3-0 on TNF in his career. If the Houston Texans can drop 31 points on this Bills defense while averaging 5.2 yards per play, what will the Lions do? Let's bank on this high-octane offense to keep it close. This spread should be closer to a field goal.

Dalton Kincaid stole the receiving headlines in Week 1, but the new guy had a team-high eight targets and hauled in five for 100 yards and a score. He also led all Buffalo pass-catchers in target share (28.6%) and air-yard share (44%). Buffalo only ran the ball on 35% of its plays in Week 1, and things might be a little more pass-heavy with a healthy Kincaid and Moore on the scene now. This game projects to have the most plays in Week 2, and for DJ Moore to have 7.9 targets. This prop is on the move.

Eagles OC Sean Mannion was asked if we’re going to get more runs from Hurts after only 7 carries in Week 1. He told the media we would, stating, “It’s certainly something that really unlocks things for us.” Given that the Week 2 defense is Tennessee, I expect Hurts to have a big day on the ground and find the end zone, especially with the “Tush Push” at play.

After being held out of the end zone in Week 1, I’m anticipating Barkley scoring against the Titans. Tennessee finished 28th in run defense DVOA and 24th in PFF run defense grade while allowing 142 rushing yards to backs in the season opener, and now they face an elite offensive line that ranked 10th in run block win rate last week. Of course, Barkley also handled 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.

With the Steelers sending out a capable, experienced and versatile defense, I’m happy to take the points in what I forecast to be a low-scoring game. Pittsburgh QB Aaron Rodgers finished with the seventh-highest PFF offense grade among quarterbacks and didn’t have a single turnover worthy play in Week 1, and the Steelers also finished the week ranked No. 1 in defensive DVOA while allowing the second-lowest EPA per play.

This is a fair number for Metcalf to find the end zone. He paced the Steelers in targets with a 27% share in Week 1, and he also garnered a respectable 28.6% of red-zone touches in 2025. Additionally, the 6-foot-4 Metcalf has a notable size advantage over the New England secondary, and I expect McCarthy to create opportunities for his go-to receiver to avoid being blanketed by Patriots star shadow cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

The Falcons are a no-go with their QB play, and Chuba Hubbard is the man in this Carolina offense, which won't go up and down the field like they did against Chicago every week. Hubbard is a great play here at 55.6% or lower, or 1.8x. The RB1 took almost 80% of the RB snaps before the final drive, and Jonathan Brooks, coming back from multiple lengthy injuries, received just 12 offensive snaps. It was also Hubbard who got all four of the RB red-zone opportunities, which he turned into two scores at 2.2x. I thought about chasing the Jalen Coker TD, but Hubbard is a needed safe floor when you have a lengthy TD card. Carolina is going to dominate the TOP and run the ball all day.

Geno Smith looked great in Week 1. That’s to say, he didn’t make crucial mistakes or turn the ball over versus the Titans, despite Tennessee running a high rate of zone coverage. Zone has been Geno’s kryptonite throughout his career and he’s going to see plenty of it versus Green Bay and their DC Jonathan Gannon. Smith finished with 17 INTs to just 19 TDs in Las Vegas last year and with the Jets playing behind in a negative game script, Geno could press passes a little too much and find himself in trouble. Projections trend toward at least one interception, sitting as high as 80%. Rainy conditions could also toss a little chaos into the mix at MetLife Stadium.

This is still a +EV TD with a fair price of 3.5x (28.6%), and it's easy to see why. Braelon Allen saw double-digit carries last week against the Titans and played the majority of the snaps on third and fourth down with two or fewer yards to go. It was Breece Hall getting the red-zone carries, but there weren't any short TD opportunities, and Allen handled the majority of the third-down work. The Packers gave up TDs to both Minnesota backs last week and were one of the worst teams in the red zone, allowing a touchdown on all four Minnesota opportunities inside the 20. Their turnovers and penalties can only help New York keep a neutral game script.

Tyler Shough ran four times for only eight yards in a thrilling loss to the Lions in Week 1. The Saints QB faces a Ravens defense that blitzed the snot out of Colts QB Daniel Jones in Week 1. He’ll be forced to out of pocket and put on the run. As a rookie, Shough amassed 10 rushing yards or more in six of his 10 starts with some big gains, like 55 yards versus the blitz-happy Bucs. Projections all sit well above this lower total, ranging from 15 to 21+ rushing yards. His Week 1 total was 18.5 yards O/U and his last five rushing yard total in 2025 were between 16.5 and 20.5 O/U. This 11.5 O/U total seems like an overcorrection to that low Week 1 outing.

I got this at 10.5% (9.5x) and would play this to 7x (14.2%). Durham Smythe might have even more opportunities than last week with the injuries to the Baltimore pass-catchers. Smythe played 62% of the snaps in Week 1, had one RZ target, and might see his routes increase with Ja'Kobi Lane out and Zay Flowers banged up. The Ravens ran heavy sets at a 53% rate last week against the Colts, and with so much uncertainty around the WR rotation, especially with the possibility of Devontez Walker coming back, I'll take a half-unit long shot on a guy playing a decent amount of snaps in an offense that's humming out of the gates.

This might be the best price we get for Chase Brown all season. He should not be 50% or lower in any game, and this price is giving the Texans too much credit after a similar top-tier offense just put up 36 points and 409 total yards in Houston last week. Chase Brown got six of the seven running back red-zone opportunities last week, including all three carries inside the five, where he cashed a -125 touchdown. He's scored seven TDs over his last four games dating back to last season, and I have him at a base probability of 55.6% against an average defense.

The Bengals got four takeaways and still had to sweat out the Bucs in Week 1. Houston's defense bounces back and that offense is improved and always strong at home. The Texans were 9 for 18 on 3rd/4th down conversions and went 4/5 for TDs in the red zone. Cincy finished 2/5 in RZ and needed a defensive score and four FGM (two 50+ yarders) to get to 33 points, despite those extra possesions.

Sometimes people in the dumps need some support, and that's where I am with Deshaun Watson this week at a 7x TD price that should not be more than 5x. He had a very difficult Week 1 matchup against that Jaguars defense. Things should be a little easier against the Buccaneers, who allowed 5.6 yards per play and five red-zone opportunities to the Bengals. Watson ran six times last week for 38 yards, including twice in the red zone, and was one of only eight QBs who had multiple RZ rushes in Week 1. He's locked into the No. 1 role and will want to silence the Cleveland fans in Week 3 in the home opener with at least something positive this week. Just think of the bragging rights you'll get if you cash a 7x Watson TD when the world is rooting against him.

It seems every offensive position for the Broncos is a crowded mess, and that Week 1 prime-time performance left a sour taste in my mouth. The Jaguars, however, looked as good as the Bills and Ravens. The Denver run defense knew Kenneth Walker was coming with a hobbled Patrick Mahomes and still got run over. That's where the 3.2x comes in for Bhayshul Tuten, and it's a price I'd take to 2.5x. The Jacksonville backfield was pretty split, and Tuten didn't play a huge amount at 48% of the snaps, but when he was on the field, he got the ball. He had 16 opportunities on 27 snaps, and the blowout might have muddied the actual rotation. Chris Rodriguez could poach some goal-line work, and his 4.1x price is also something to consider. I just think the Jacksonville running game and offense aren't getting enough credit against a Denver defense that did nothing and is on a short week.

The model projects the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 8th-most pass-heavy offense among all teams this week with a 59.8% pass rate, based on their underlying propensities and matchup dynamics.. Given the game dynamics and the underlying approaches of each team, this game is forecasted by the model to see 130.3 offensive plays called: the 5th-highest number among all games this week.. The Jaguars have run the 9th-most plays in football since the start of last season, totaling a massive 58.4 plays per game.. In this week's contest, Trevor Lawrence is expected by the projection model to wind up with the 7th-most pass attempts among all quarterbacks with 35.7. . Opposing offenses have averaged 34.2 pass attempts per game versus the Denver Broncos defense since the start of last season: 7th-most in the league.

I got this at 3.7x and would play to 3.2x. The Raiders should be playing in a negative game script on Sunday, and Michael Mayer could be the most-targeted Raider in an indoor game against a Chargers team that is in a must-win spot in Week 2. Last week as the TE1, Mayer led the Silver and Black in target share at 24% and targets per route run at 30%. He had seven targets and caught six balls, with the Raiders playing with the lead from start to finish. He was also one of three pass-catchers to see a target in the red zone. He isn't running deep routes, but that's a good thing when his QB is Kirk Cousins. He could have a big-volume game if Las Vegas is forced to pass more than its 46% rate in Week 1.

An extreme throwing game script is suggested by the Raiders being a huge -7-point underdog in this game.. The leading projections forecast the Las Vegas Raiders to be the 6th-most pass-centric offense among all teams this week with a 60.1% pass rate, given their underlying traits and matchup dynamics.. Calm weather conditions (like the 1-mph wind being forecasted in this game) usually prompt increased passing effectiveness, higher touchdown potential, higher pass volume, and lower rush volume.. In this contest, Kirk Cousins is projected by the model to wind up with the 10th-most pass attempts out of all QBs with 35.1.

Let's not get carried away with Arizona's Week 1 win, and getting an RB1 against this team at 2.4x is a steal. Jadarian Price got his feet wet in the opener and was the preferred back on first and second down, with George Holani getting 92% of the third-down work. He'll have another week to plan with new QB Drew Lock, which could make this team more run-heavy than it was with Sam Darnold. The Seahawks only ran 48 plays last Wednesday, so Price's 10-carry, 52-yard game should have more volume in Week 2. The Seahawks had zero carries inside the 10-yard line, but George Holani took the only two red-zone carries. Here's hoping Mike Macdonald and Brian Fleury let Price eat a little more in the Price vs. Jeremiyah Love game.

The Seattle Seahawks defense has been a prominent pass funnel since the start of last season, leading opposing quarterbacks to attempt the 3rd-most passes in football (36.1 per game) since the start of last season.. Jacoby Brissett grades out as one of the best quarterbacks in the league since the start of last season, averaging a stellar 223.0 adjusted yards per game while ranking in the 90th percentile.

Christian McCaffrey can gash this Dolphins defense for big gains on the ground in Week 2. Miami was 24th in Run Defense DVOA in Week 1 and allowed 100+ yards to Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty. The Fins could be missing two starters on the defensive line and Run CMC has fresh legs with an extended break after thumping the Rams in Australia. He had only 10 carries in that one-side win due to cramping – giving way to rookie RB Kaelon Black - and even with game script calling for another 49ers blowout, projections sit north of 60+ yards with a ceiling of 68. My number comes out to 63 yards from McCaffrey on Sunday.

Everyone and their mom is likely looking to bet on Kaelon Black this weekend to score vs. the Dolphins, but I don't love his 3x price. I'd rather play him for last TD at 10.5x, but that seems pretty close to fair. The real value is with Demarcus Robinson, who played 91% of the snaps after rookie De'Zhaun Stribling exited. He's out long-term. The loss of Jake Tonges also opens some snaps for Robinson in a pass-catching group of oft-injured older players who might not respond well to the travel to Australia and back. Robinson is a buy to 3.8x and is the best-valued TD according to the Covers Anytime Touchdown Value Index, which hit its top-valued TD last week with Dallas Goedert.

This TD is popping on the projections at its 3.65x price, with a fair price of 3.2x. It's also the No. 5 TD on the Covers Anytime Touchdown Value Index (68). The Commanders just gave up a monster line to another TE last week in Dallas Goedert, who went for 4-77-2. His TD was the highest-value play on the TD Value Index last week. Ferguson saw just two targets on SNF but still played 75% of the snaps, which ranked behind only CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. If Ferguson finds paydirt in Week 2, the Commanders are officially TE funnels.

To steal a line from Eminem, “MFers act like they forgot about Jay”. Jayden Daniels passed for two touchdowns against a much stronger Eagles secondary last week and faces a softer Dallas defense inside on the fast track at AT&T Stadium in Week 2. Daniels is being discounted after his injury-shortened 2025 but folks forget just how great a passer he is when healthy. Projections lean toward two TD throws and with such a tall total, game script says this is a shootout.

With this number staying below the 7-point mark, I'm definitely laying the points with the Chiefs at -6.5 and 51%, as I make them closer to an 8-point favorite in this matchup. We saw Kenneth Walker rush for 173 yards in Week 1, and I don't expect much to change here. Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith should be able to dominate the Colts' defensive line, get to the second level and create cutback lanes for the explosive Walker. The Colts' offense is better when playing from ahead, but as a big underdog, they could be forced to move away from Jonathan Taylor. That could put Daniel Jones in an uncomfortable position, especially against a blitz-heavy Steve Spagnuolo defense that should be able to pressure him into more turnover worthy throws than Indianapolis would prefer.

Remember when we got Kenneth Walker at close to even money? Not anymore. The Chiefs players are hard to back at their current prices. However, the market is low on the Colts, who are giant dogs in this game despite the Chiefs playing on a short week. This Alec Pierce price is also well off fair, from 4.5x to a fair of 3.4x. Pierce exited early in Week 1 but came back and played close to 90% of the snaps in the second half. This is still a KC secondary that had plenty of turnover from the previous year, and although Bo Nix and the Broncos couldn't figure it out, there should be plenty of negative game script for Daniel Jones to keep chucking the ball. If Pierce plays average in this game, this price will never appear again.

Isaiah Likely was the cash converter last week and was a huge part of the Giants' offense, keeping pace with Malik Nabers in terms of usage and volume. Despite that, his TD price has not moved, which I don't mind at all. I understand it's the Rams, but they are just getting back from Australia and looked awful defending the pass in Week 1. Likely had four targets in the red zone and finished with two TDs. No other TE or WR had more than three RZ catches in Week 1. Likely is the No. 2 in this passing game and is a green light for a TD buy at 3x or better right now.

Sean McVay is an excellent game planner with added time he'll work out the kinks on this offense. Matthew Stafford couldn’t get going against the 49ers but faces a softer stop unit from the Giants. New York’s defense looked much better than it truly was in Week 1, due to the offense grinding out gains and chewing up TOP. The Cowboys offense only had two second half possessions and while it was limited in action, Dallas ranked out well in terms of advanced metrics like EPA per play DVOA. This is a fast track indoor at SoFi Stadium and it doesn’t seem likely that L.A.’s offense gets bottled up for a second straight game.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

Spread

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

You can read more about NFL spreads here.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
