The cream has risen to the top of the English Premier League – but one upstart team remains very much in the mix.
Everton were one of the few top-flight Premier League teams to earn three points over the weekend, and are in solo second entering Matchday 16, in which the majority of teams will play on just one or two days of rest.

Everton vs Manchester City
A four-game winning streak has Everton riding high, though they remain +5,000 longshots to earn their first English Premier League championship since 1987. And they're whopping +550 underdogs Monday against a Manchester City side (-223) that heads to Goodison Park with plenty of momentum fueled by a 10-game unbeaten stretch (seven wins, three draws).
We're not ready to anoint Everton as a Premier League elite, but this game should be more competitive than oddsmakers are anticipating. The hosts have allowed just one goal over their previous four league matches, while Man City looked ordinary by their lofty standards in a 2-0 win over Newcastle this past weekend. We like the visitors, but only by a goal.

Burnley vs Sheffield United
The two least-productive offenses in the Premier League do battle Tuesday at Turf Moor as Burnley host Sheffield United. It's rare for a 17th-place team like Burnley (+137) to actually be favored in a matchup – but that's what happens when you play host to a Sheffield side (+225) that is still looking for its first win of 2020-21 after opening with 13 losses and two draws.
We're going to level with you here: We're not expecting much offense in this one. Both teams have scored just eight goals on the season, three fewer than the next-closest club. We don't know who will pull out the win, but it wouldn't surprise us to see one goal decide things. And there's a decent chance of a scoreless draw, though we're not brave enough to recommend it.

Tottenham vs Fulham
What has happened to Spurs? After looking like championship contenders early in the season, Tottenham have earned just two points from their previous four games to fall to fifth in the standings. And despite the gap in the race between themselves and 18th-place Fulham, the hosts are somewhat reasonable -200 favorites in their return home from a two-game road trip.
Before dropping a 2-0 decision to Leicester on Dec. 20, Tottenham had won their previous six home games by a combined margin of 15-1. And while Fulham have done well to earn single points in each of their last four matches, they have just two goals from their last five league games and have a -10 goal differential. This is a get-right game for Spurs, and we see them doing just that.
