Wild vs Stars prediction

Wild vs Stars Best bet: Thomas Harley 1+ point (-110)

The Dallas Stars have opened the season 2-0, thanks largely to their tremendous offensive production. Entering this matchup, Dallas ranks fifth in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60).

A big part of that offensive success has been defenseman Thomas Harley, who has recorded four points over the first two games. That success is likely to continue against the Minnesota Wild, a team Harley has recorded a point against in each of the past two meetings.

Furthermore, Minnesota enters this contest on the second half of a back-to-back, which means we could see some tired legs defensively.

Backing up this struggling defense is goaltender Filip Gustavsson, who has had trouble dealing with the play in front of him. Gustavsson was shelled in his latest outing, allowing six goals on 31 shots for an .806 save percentage (SV%) against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Wild vs Stars same-game parlay

Dallas is the stronger team offensively, but it has also allowed high-danger scoring chances at a notable rate this season.

Subsequently, goaltender Jake Oettinger carries a .875 SV% and 3.84 goals-against average (GAA) into this outing. Dallas will outscore the Wild, but Minny won't go down without landing a few blows.
