Kelsey Mitchell doesn't live in Caitlin Clark's shadow and can follow up a 30-point opening effort with another big day in L.A. Jason Logan has plenty of WNBA prop picks for Fever vs. Sparks tonight.

Someone is going to get their first win of the 2026 WNBA season when the Indiana Fever visit the Los Angeles Sparks tonight.

Both Indiana and L.A. fell flat in their respective season debuts, with the Fever losing Saturday despite 30 points from guard Kelsey Mitchell.

My Fever vs. Sparks predictions make a case for Mitchell to light up the scoreboard again, with our WNBA picks playing her points prop on Wednesday, May 13.

Fever vs Sparks prediction

Fever vs Sparks best bet: Kelsey Mitchell Over 20.5 points (-110)

Kelsey Mitchell proved she’s among the most dangerous scorers last season, carrying the Indiana Fever with Caitlin Clark sidelined.

Mitchell, who averaged over 20 points in 2025, picked up where she left off with 30 points in the season opener.

She builds on that versus the Los Angeles Sparks. While it’s only one game, Los Angeles’ defense was dreadful in a blowout loss to Las Vegas.

The Sparks gave up 62 points in the paint and now face Mitchell, who scored 16 of her 30 points in the key versus Dallas and was the second-highest PITP guard in the WNBA last season (7.3).

Projections call for 22+ points from Mitchell tonight.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Fever played at a crazy tempo in the opener, recording a pace rating of 106.8 in Stephanie White’s high-octane system. That’s a significant uptick compared to their 2025 pace rating (95.71). This matchup promises plenty of scoring, featuring a sky-high total of 185 points.

Caitlin Clark pick: Over 5.5 rebounds (-105)

Clark finished with a solid stat line in her first WNBA action since last July, scoring 20 points, dishing out seven assists, and hauling in five rebounds in the loss to the Wings.

That work on the glass went Under her rebounding prop of 5.5 O/U but was a strong output considering the teams shot a collective 55% from the floor, leaving fewer rebounding chances to go around.

Entering the opener, Indiana head coach Stephanie White stressed rebounding with her guards, asking for at least three rebounds from her starters.

Clark did White two better and won’t have any issues beating up the L.A. backcourt on the boards either, with Kelsey Plum and Ariel Atkins standing 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, respectively.

The 6-foot Clark is forecasted for six rebounds in L.A., and game script says there will be a surplus of shots — meaning more opportunities on the glass.

Fever vs Sparks same-game parlay

The Fever lost a shootout with the Wings in the opener, but I don’t see the Sparks firing at the same success that Dallas had.

Los Angeles lacks depth, and Indiana’s up-tempo attack will test its early-season conditioning, leaving the Sparks on empty in the fourth quarter.

Mitchell’s relentless rim attack and Clark stuffing the box score will give Indiana its first win of the 2026 campaign and leave a lot of questions for Los Angeles.

Fever vs Sparks SGP

  • Fever -1.5
  • Kelsey Mitchell Over 20.5 points
  • Caitlin Clark Over 5.5 rebounds

Fever vs Sparks first basket scorer: Aliyah Boston (+300)

Aliyah Boston was also big for Indiana in the opener, dominating inside with 16 of her total 23 points coming inside the paint.

That’s bad news for the Sparks’ soft interior. The 6-foot-5 Boston is very active in pick-and-roll with Clark and Mitchell, and she’s just as likely to score the first bucket as her fellow superstars.

You can find this unique prop as high as +625, so shop around.

Fever vs Sparks trend

The Over is 10-3 to start the 2026 WNBA season, and this total of 185 points is extremely high, with Indiana opening the schedule with a very quick pace rating of 106.8. Find more WNBA betting trends.
