Oilers vs Panthers Same-Game Parlay Picks for Monday's Game

Connor McDavid leads the postseason in points, but he was unable to register a single one in the Oilers' shutout loss on Saturday. Our NHL picks expect the shots to keep coming for No. 97 but don't see much coming from them.

Despite the Edmonton Oilers killing the Florida Panthers in shots for Game 1, the Cats came away with the shutout victory.

I've taken three NHL picks I like for tonight's Oilers vs. Panthers tilt and made a juicy same-game parlay for those looking for a bigger payout.

Oilers vs Panthers same-game parlay picks June 10

Connor McDavid knows his team will be up against it if they lose tonight. Beating a team as deep as the Florida Panthers four out of seven times is already hard enough, but having to beat them four out of five times will seem borderline impossible.

McDavid saw 25:19 of ice in Game 1, which marks the 13th time in 19 playoff games he's played 21+ minutes. There is no longer the need for resting top players. The time is now to get every last drop out of the tank, and we saw that happen in Game 1. No. 97 has also had five or more shots in four of his last five, and I expect a desperate McDavid to eclipse that mark again.

Although he had six shots in Game 1, he was unable to capitalize. Saturday's outing was another notch on Aleksander Barkov's belt, as he continues to do a magnificent job of shutting down star players this postseason.

Nikita Kucherov, David Pastrnak, and Artemi Panarin combined for one goal vs. the Panthers in these playoffs. Go back and read that list again. None are better than McDavid, but they all had far more goals than him in the regular season and were unable to break through against big Barkov. McDavid will be able to shoot, but Florida's premier centerman will make sure those shots aren't very scary for Bobrovsky.

It took Carter Verhaeghe less than four minutes to put one by Stuart Skinner in Game 1, and I don't think we'll have to wait long to see a goal tonight, either.

In 19 playoff games, Edmonton has scored 21 goals in the first period while giving up 14 (1.84 total per game). As for the Panthers, they've scored 11 in the opening frame over 18 games and given up 12 (1.27 per game). Betting the Over 1.5 makes me nervous as Bobrovsky could continue to stand on his head, but if the Oilers can't get one by him, they'll at least give one up.
