Sharks vs Maple Leafs Best bet: Auston Matthews anytime goal (+105)
The Toronto Maple Leafs are starting to roll, winning five of their last seven games. Goaltending has been one reason, as the team SV% has been a staggering .934 over that stretch.
Another reason is the return to form of Auston Matthews.
The Leafs’ captain returned from injury on November 26 and has recorded six points in that seven-game stretch. He's also lead the NHL in scoring chances while ranking second in high-danger chances.
The goals are starting to drop too, as he’s got three tucks in his last five games, and I expect that trend to continue tonight against a poor San Jose Sharks squad.
San Jose doesn’t defend well on the road or get many saves, ranking 29th league-wide. This is in line with many of their underlying metrics, as the Sharks rank 31st in xGA/60 while allowing an average of 14.08 HDCA/60 with just an .800 HDSV%
As long as Matthews continues to generate offense at a high level, this is a good matchup for him to find the back of the net.
In fact, Matthews has been scoring on San Jose his entire career. The three-time "Rocket" Richard winner has scored in 12 of the 15 games he’s faced San Jose, totaling 13 goals in that span.

I’ll continue to bet on offense and for the Leafs to go Over 3.5 goals. They’ve eclipsed this number in three of their last five games, and the Sharks have surrendered four or more goals in five of their last six road games.
I'll add William Nylander Over 2.5 shots to my SGP as well. His shot totals have been way under expectation to this point, but I expect his demotion to the third line to light a fire under him.
