Our best NHL player props for Tuesday, April 21
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Tage Thompson Over 3.5 shots on goal
Tage Thompson shone in his playoff debut in Game 1, helping the Buffalo Sabres win a 4-3 thriller.
The 28-year-old led the way with two goals and an assist while registering an impressive seven shots on goal. Thompson has now cashed the Over in shots in back-to-back outings, also notching six SOG in the season finale.
The Arizona native averaged 3.35 SOG in the regular season and 5.5 over four meetings with the Boston Bruins, who ranked 28th in shots surrendered this year.
Thompson has dominated the Bruins and will continue to do so.

Prop #2: Nick Suzuki Over 0.5 assists
Nick Suzuki and the Montreal Canadiens were brilliant in Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, pulling out a 4-3 OT road win. Suzuki did his part, finishing with a pair of assists. He is undoubtedly the Habs’ top playmaker, and one of the best in the league.
The 26-year-old finished with 72 helpers in 2025-26, which ranked fifth in the NHL. He’s on the Habs' top line and PP1 unit with Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky flanking him.
Slafkovsky just had a hat-trick in Game 1, and Caufield scored over 50 goals this season. You can see why it’s more likely than not that Suzuki picks an apple.

Prop #3: Darren Raddysh Over 2.5 shots on goal
I won’t lie, the odds aren’t great here, but Darren Raddysh will be getting pucks on net tonight. The defenceman averaged 2.90 SOG per game this season, and he’s hit the Over in five straight appearances.
Raddysh had a goal and six shots on target in Game 1, and he’s averaging 2.60 SOG at home. During the season, Raddysh notched 10 shots on net against the Habs across four meetings.
He’s a first-line defenceman for the Bolts, and he’s on the blue line for the PP1. Montreal gave five penalties to Tampa in Game 1, and is 28th in penalty minutes.
