Our best NHL player props for Saturday, October 18
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Brad Marchand Over 2.5 shots on goal
Brad Marchand played a crucial role in the Florida Panthers’ run to another title in 2024-25, and he’s already off to a promising start this season.
The veteran leads the Cats with three goals and three assists, while also registering 20 shots on goal in six contests.
The Nova Scotia native has no issues creating opportunities. He’s cashed the Over in shots on target in back-to-back games, putting four pucks on net in both matchups against the Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils.
While the Panthers have lost three straight, they have a clear opportunity to bounce back today vs. the Buffalo Sabres. Marchand will do his part.

Prop #2: Cole Caufield anytime goal
Cole Caufield is lighting the lamp for the playoff-hopeful Montreal Canadiens. He’s scored five goals and tallied a pair of helpers. The 24-year-old had a career year last season, and he’s on track for another impressive campaign as we speak.
The former first-round pick has been dominating over the last three games, scoring in each. In fact, he’s found the back of the net four times in the previous two contests.
In three meetings with the New York Rangers last season, Caufield had one goal and two assists. He’ll stay hot today.

Prop #3: Jack Eichel Over 1.5 points
Jack Eichel was one of several stars who signed new deals just before the campaign began, and he’s proving to be worth every penny of that eight-year, $108 million extension. The American leads the NHL in points with 11, scoring five and assisting six.
Eichel has cashed the Over in points in three of his last four contests. He finished with a goal and an assist on Thursday in a victory over the Boston Bruins.
The Vegas Golden Knights face the Calgary Flames this evening, and Eichel already scored twice against them on Tuesday while putting seven pucks on net.
