Tonight is a tale of two teams heading in opposite directions.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have come back down to Earth after a hot start, dropping three straight to the Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, and Vegas Golden Knights. Meanwhile, the Utah Mammoth have won three of their last four and are fourth in the NHL in expected goals for.
Look for Utah's first-ranked power play to get us over the hump here. Clicking at a 35% clip, the Mammoth simply can't be stopped on the man advantage.
COVERS INTEL: The Penguins have just been atrocious in their own end this year. Their 19.39 expected goals against this season is good for 25th in hockey. Expect the ice to be tilted.

Pittsburgh continues to struggle defensively, surrendering nearly 3.5 goals per contest, which will undoubtedly get us over the line tonight.
Elsewhere, Dylan Guenther is the man to watch in Utah, having already recorded four goals and three multi-point performances through nine games. With Utah's dangerous power play and Pittsburgh's defensive inconsistencies, this matchup has the ingredients for an entertaining, high-scoring affair, with Guenther easily finding the scoresheet.

Penguins vs Mammoth goal scorer: Nick Schmaltz
Nick Schmaltz has been absolutely dynamic for the Mammoth and is on a tear to begin the season, recording 11 points in nine games. He's a big reason why Utah is second in the Central Division.
With six goals in the opening six games, Schmaltz has found himself in a little bit of a drought as of late, but he's in a fantastic spot to bounce back in a game that should pave the way for offense.
