Maple Leafs vs Panthers Prediction, Picks & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Game

With a point tonight, Oliver Ekman-Larsson will become just the second Maple Leafs defenseman to have a 10-game point streak. We like OEL to pull through against the Panthers.

The most profitable Toronto Maple Leafs bet in November was Oliver Ekman-Larsson to go Over on his points total, and it’s where I’ll go again in tonight's Maple Leafs vs. Panthers predictions.

Find out why with my free NHL picks on Tuesday, December 2.

Maple Leafs vs Panthers prediction

Maple Leafs vs Panthers Best bet: Oliver Ekman-Larsson Over 0.5 points (+165)

Oliver Ekman-Larsson can rewrite the record books tonight by becoming just the second Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman - the other being Tom Kurvers - to register 1+ points in 10 straight games.

The Leafs' blue liner had a November to remember, registering at least one point in 12 of 14 games, finishing the month on a nine-game point streak. And yet, the value of his points prop remains at +165.

OEL is averaging north of 22 minutes a night as a top-pair defender since the Chris Tanev injury, and he’s excelled in the larger role.

The veteran was unaware of the record chase on Monday afternoon when asked about it at practice.

"No, I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me," he told Leafs media members. "No pressure."

Now he knows, and so do his teammates. They’ll try to factor him into the play all night long to match the record.

As for the opponent, Florida has lost three of their last four contests, all to non-playoff teams, surrendering three or more goals in each game (3.75 per).

The Leafs’ offense erupted for seven goals in Pittsburgh Saturday night, so hopefully that carries over into this contest.

If so, OEL should certainly be involved and get in the scoresheet.

For the final leg, I’ll take Joseph Woll to go Over 27.5 saves. The Leafs are consistently outchanced and outshot, allowing an average of 31.4 shots per game. Florida is averaging 33 shots over their last six games.
