We’ve got 15 games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including a matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been a consistent point producer for the Leafs lately, and I expect him to continue that trend and find the scoresheet for an eighth straight game.

Find out why with my Capitals vs. Maple Leafs predictions and NHL picks for Friday, November 28.

Maple Leafs vs Capitals prediction

Maple Leafs vs Capitals Best bet: Oliver Ekman-Larsson Over 0.5 points (+110)

Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been a lone bright spot for the Toronto Maple Leafs’ blue line this season, and his betting market has been highly profitable.

The veteran blue liner has 17 points on the season, while averaging 21:55 minutes of ice time in November after being elevated to PP1 and taking over top-pair duties in Chris Tanev’s absence.

This expanded role has allowed him to get more favourable offensive opportunities, and he’s flourished in this stretch.

Ekman-Larsson is currently riding a seven-game point streak and has gone Over his posted points total of 0.5 in 10 of his last 11 outings.

OEL’s point total is once again set at 0.5, and considering his cover rate is 91% over his last 11 games, a +110 price is tremendous value.

Additionally, the Washington Capitals are 4-1 in their last 10 games, but that’s mainly due to their 5.4 goals per game average. Defensively, they’ve given up a fair amount of goals, posting a 3.40 GAA over that same stretch.

So the Maple Leafs, who are finally healthy offensively, should be able to muster up some offense tonight, and OEL should be involved from the backend as he’s been all month long.

Maple Leafs vs Capitals same-game parlay

I’ll also add John Tavares to go Over 2.5 shots tonight. Tavares leads the Leafs with 69 shots and has been consistently shooting the puck on net. The Leafs pivot is averaging 3.4 shots per game over his last 10 contests, going over tonight’s posted total eight times in that stretch.

For the final leg of my SGP, let’s add an Auston Matthews anytime goal. It’s time for him to flip a switch, and tonight’s matchup should allow him to do that. They’re giving up 3.4 goals per game over their last five, with a 68% penalty kill.
