The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to slow down the streaking St. Louis Blues, who enter tonight’s contest on a three-game winning streak and a 9-1-2 record over their last 12 outings.

St. Louis has relied on a stingy defense during its run, but Matthew Knies will help Toronto break through.

I’ll break down my Knies prop in our Maple Leafs vs. Blues predictions and NHL picks for Saturday, March 28.

Maple Leafs vs Blues prediction

Maple Leafs vs Blues best bet: Matthew Knies Over 0.5 points (-135)

Matthew Knies has had an up-and-down year for the Toronto Maple Leafs while dealing with nagging injuries. Thankfully, the Olympic break came at the right time for the Leafs winger, who’s looked much better lately.

Knies has recorded six goals and 13 points in 16 games since the break, tied for the third-most points on Toronto over that span behind only William Nylander (15) and John Tavares (14).

His ice time has also seen a significant bump, rising from 16:29 per game in February to 19:20 in March — the second-most among Leafs forwards after Nylander.
