We’ve got eight games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including a matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Morgan Rielly is on a heater right now, and I expect him to stay hot vs. the Canes.

Hurricanes vs Maple Leafs prediction

Hurricanes vs Maple Leafs Best bet: Morgan Rielly Over 0.5 assists (+135)

The Toronto Maple Leafs aim to bounce back against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight after a 5-3 loss to Boston Saturday evening.

Morgan Rielly registered two assists in the defeat, however, and is quietly on a heater right now with six points, all assists, in his last four games.

This is the market that has my attention tonight as it’s paying plus money still, despite cashing in four straight games.

Rielly has also had a lot of success against the Hurricanes with eight assists in his last 10 games against them, and 19 helpers all-together throughout his career.

The Leafs as a whole appear to have figured out how to break through Carolina’s structured defense with 13 goals over the last three meetings between one another, averaging 3.1 goals against them over the last 10 games.

Additionally, it appears the Canes will be without three key defenseman tonight as Jacob Slavin, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Jalen Chatfield are all currently injured.

That should give Toronto an edge in the offensive zone to generate some offense against a weakened Hurricanes defensive corps.

Hurricanes vs Maple Leafs same-game parlay

I’ll add Over 2.5 shots for Tavares to the SGP. He’s averaging 3.66 shots per game, going over the posted total in eight of his last seven contests.

For the final leg of my SGP, I’ll add Over 6.5 goals. Each of the last 10 games involving the Leafs has gone Over the total of 6.5, averaging 8.5 per contest.
