Blackhawks vs Blues prediction

Blackhawks vs Blues Best bet: Andre Burakovsky Over 0.5 points (+135)

The Chicago Blackhawks took a chance on forward Andre Burakovsky this offseason in a buy-low move due to his large contract and disappointing results with the Seattle Kraken. Burakovsky’s first game for Chicago was also underwhelming, as he failed to record a point or a shot on net.

However, after that performance, coach Jeff Blashill shook up the lines and paired Colton Dach with Burakovsky and Connor Bedard. The change proved to be a smart adjustment, as the new-look first line has developed strong chemistry through three games together.

As a result, Burakovsky is averaging one point and two shots on goal over that stretch. That success could continue against the St. Louis Blues, a team that has struggled defensively this season.

The Blues rank in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60). St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington has struggled behind this blue line, and he is slated to start against the Hawks.

Through two starts, Binnington is 1-1 with a .860 save percentage (SV%) and a 3.50 goals-against average (GAA).

Blackhawks vs Blues same-game parlay

If Burakovsky records a point, there’s a strong chance Chicago keeps this game close. Through four games this season, the Hawks have yet to lose by more than one goal.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Burakovsky’s point came from assisting Bedard, just as he did in the Hawks’ 4-3 loss to the Boston Bruins.
