After starting the season with a 33-8 loss in Indianapolis, the Miami Dolphins have put up 27 and 21 points in their last two games against the Patriots and Bills. Tua Tagovailoa has been a big part of that with two touchdown passes in each of those last two contests after throwing one in Week 1.
The New York Jets have defended the pass well in recent weeks, only allowing one passing touchdown by Baker Mayfield and none by Josh Allen, but Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers picked them apart for 244 yards and four touchdowns in Week 1.
Tagovailoa is never going to be close to the passer that Rodgers is, but he’s connected with both De’Von Achane and Jaylen Waddle twice this season for scores, with Tyreek Hill catching his other touchdown pass.
The southpaw had multiple touchdown passes in five of 11 games last season, including two in Week 14 against the Jets at home.
