The Packers can pressure Young without sacrificing help in coverage. Green Bay has generated pressure on 38.5% of dropbacks without blitzing, fourth in the NFL, while Young has faced pressure on 44.3% against four or fewer rushers, highest among qualified quarterbacks, per Next Gen Stats. That is a difficult matchup for a Panthers line missing right tackle Taylor Moton and left guard Damien Lewis, who has been ruled out with a knee injury. Rookie Monroe Freeling steps back into Moton’s spot. Young has no game designation, but keeping him upright is the bigger concern: pressure with extra defenders in coverage can disrupt the explosive passes Carolina needs to stay within reach.

The Packers have protection problems of their own, with center Sean Rhyan and guard Travis Glover ruled out. Receiver Matthew Golden is questionable, adding uncertainty to an offense averaging just 2.9 yards per carry. Those limitations support Under 47.5, although the Panthers’ absences at edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and cornerback Akayleb Evans give Jordan Love opportunities if his blocking holds. Joe Osborne takes Panthers +3.5 in his Panthers vs. Packers prediction, citing Carolina’s 13 consecutive covers following an outright loss. The Packers need to turn scoring chances into touchdowns to cover; giveaways that hand either offense a short field are the clearest threat to the Under.

Hubbard’s lead-back workload gives him a clear route to the end zone. In the Panthers’ Week 6 win over the Eagles, he played 74 of 79 offensive snaps and turned 28 carries into 120 yards, including a one-yard touchdown. That score was his sixth of the season and fourth on the ground. A competitive game would give Carolina more opportunity to lean on him than last week’s blowout loss, when he had just seven carries.

The Packers have allowed 10 touchdowns to running backs and will be without linebacker Zaire Franklin, who is ruled out with a shin injury. Defensive tackles Devonte Wyatt and Anthony Campbell are questionable, leaving more uncertainty in the middle of that defense. Hubbard has no injury designation, but the Panthers’ blocking is a concern with Moton on injured reserve and Lewis out. Carolina still needs to reach scoring range for Hubbard’s workload to matter. His established lead-back role supports the anytime touchdown selection at a 52% Kalshi purchase quote; that percentage comes from his touchdown market, not our score model.

How our NFL AI predictions work

Our NFL AI predictions use a custom forecasting model built with GPT-6 Astra to project a final score for each matchup using historical scoring results and team-strength ratings. We review injuries and matchup news for the accompanying analysis.

The score forecasts are fixed before we compare them with the selected Kalshi spread and total to produce our ATS and Over/Under picks. Kalshi percentages are market quotes, separate from the score forecasts. Our touchdown pick is an AI-assisted editorial selection based on player usage and matchup research, not an output of the team-score model. We track results against the original selections and lines at time of publish.

We’ll continue updating the process as the season develops and publicly track every published score prediction, ATS pick, and Over/Under selection.

Odds and market lines are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
