NFL Conference Championship Parlay and Teaser Picks

The Chiefs have been looking shaky lately, entering the AFC Championship with Patrick Mahomes' health a major question mark. But they're still the champs until proven otherwise, and the Covers staff isn't shying away from backing them this weekend.

We're down to the Final Four in the NFL playoffs. We've weeded out the pretenders and are left with a very deserving quartet of squads vying for Super Bowl berths.

On the other hand, our staff is still hammering away at these weekly parlay and teaser picks en masse. While some of the team has been nailing their recent picks, several of us have been limping through these playoffs and taking Ls in stride like the Jags this year.

We're digging deep for this week's NFL betting picks, doing our best to measure up with the excellence we're about to witness on the field. Read on to see who we're siding with for the AFC and NFC Championship Games...

NFL Conference Championship Teaser Picks

Rob Hansen, Content Coordinator (@Mookie_45)

There once was a team from Tampa Bay
Whose quarterback was beginning to gray.
They've made it this far,
With their old superstar.
But this Sunday will be their D-Day

PICK: 6.5-point teaser (Tampa Bay-Green Bay Under 58, Green Bay +3, Buffalo-Kansas City Over 47.5, Kansas City +3.5) +200

The Champ is doing something special for Championship Sunday, parlaying a player prop from each team! The Bucs will try to control the clock, but Aaron Rodgers will be too much. Patrick Mahomes' return means a big day for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs' defense contains Josh Allen.

PICK: Leonard Fournette Over 42.5 rush yards, Aaron Rodgers Over 279.5 passing yards, Travis Kelce Over 94.5 receiving yards, Josh Allen Under 310.5 passing yards (+1,030)

Jameson Mossman, Social Media Coordinator (@Covers_JaMo)

Full disclosure. I am a Packers fan. My picks this week are based on research but are insanely biased—fade accordingly.

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers continued to roll last week against LA and I don’t see that changing this week. Taking Adams Over on his reception total of 7.5 and to score a TD: both things he has done multiple times this year. Rodgers has thrown more than 2.5 TDs in a game 12 times this year, he makes it 13 this week.

Last but not least, Tampa and Green Bay are going to score, this game goes Over.

PICK: Davante Adams anytime TD and Over 7.5 receptions, Aaron Rodgers Over 2.5 TD passes, Green Bay-Tampa Bay Over 51.5 (+1,286)

Jason Logan, Senior Industry Analyst (@CoversJLo)

I love Championship Sunday more than Super Sunday (mainly because I routinely lose money with my Super Bowl bets). With that in mind, better get my action down before winter settles in. I’m going with a four-leg parlay: Packers ML -180, Over 51.5 Bucs-Packers (-110), Bills +3 (-115), and Under 54 Bills-Chiefs.

PICK: Four-leg parlay: Packers ML -180, Over 51.5 Bucs-Packers (-110), Bills +3 (-115), Under 54 Bills-Chiefs
(+960)

Josh Inglis, NFL Writer (@inglis_josh4)

I'm not sold on the Bucs, as the Saints lost that game more so than Tampa won it. They didn't have to deal with any downfield passing against Drew Brees, but that will change against Aaron Rodgers, who is dismantling defenses and having fun doing it.

If Buffalo wants to beat the Chiefs, they are going to have to put up points because the keep-away game has proven not to work against Kansas City. The Chiefs by three is also too good to pass, as Buffalo leaves Bills Stadium and has to face their most difficult opponent this playoff season.

PICK: Green Bay -3. Kansas City -3, Buffalo-Kansas City Over 54 (+540)

Jared Hochman, Publishing Editor (@JLHoch)

For the NFC title game, The Bucs have shown a vulnerability against vertical passing threats, and Marquez-Valdes Scantling loves to get downfield, so I think he reels in at least one bomb as the Packers take care of business.

On the AFC side, I’ll keep it simple: Stefon Diggs will get his, but with Mahomes under center, the Chiefs will not be stopped.

PICK: Marques Valdes-Scantling Longest reception Over 17.5 yards, Green Bay -3.5, Stefon Diggs Over 93.5 receiving yards, Kansas City -3 (+1,251)

AJ Salah, Publishing Editor (@Salas42_)

I don't entirely care what happened in Week 6. Not only does that seem like years ago in a season where all sense of time has been severely warped, but as Jason touched on in his weekly Underdogs column, fading Aaron Rodgers right now is just a generally dumb idea.

But I am fading convention in the AFC game, as the Bills seem to be gaining both momentum and consensus. Mahomes is definitely not sitting this one, and even at sub-100 percent can find a W here against a Bills team that's more vulnerable than their recent ATS tear suggests.

Finally, let's tack on the Bucs-Packers Over. Green Bay's just too fuego offensively right now.

PICK: Green Bay -3.5, Kansas City -3, Green Bay-Tampa Bay Over 51.5 (+597)

Rohit Ponnaiya, Digital Content Producer (@Covers_Ro)

Before the season began I had the Chiefs facing the Bucs in the Super Bowl, so let's stick with that by backing both of them on the ML. But I also think the two top receivers in the NFL this season – Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs – will once again have big games as their teams try to play catch up.

PICK: Tampa Bay ML, Davante Adams Over 87.5 receiving yards, Kansas City ML, Stefon Diggs Over 93.5 Receiving Yards (+1,359)

Brandon DuBreuil, Content Manager (@CoversBD)

Nothing has clicked yet in the playoffs so I’m heading to the touchdown prop market for championship weekend. In doing a little research, I found something that both the Bills and Bucs have in common: They’re both awful at defending the tight end. So we’re going to assume Kelce has a monster day and that Big Bobby T also finds the end zone on Sunday.

PICK: Parlay (Robert Tonyan anytime TD, Travis Kelce 2+ TDs) (+1088)

Patrick Everson, Senior Writer (@Covers_Vegas)

As I stated last week, no one more than I has demonstrated why you should generally avoid NFL parlays. In the divisional playoff round, I got there with Packers -6.5, Bills -2.5 and Browns +10. 3-0 with one game to go, needing only the favored Saints to cover 3 – or hell, even push and just turn the bet into a three-teamer – to cash my ticket.

So of course, the Saints lose outright at home to the Bucs. But I digress. My conference championship parlay: Packers -3.5, Chiefs -3, and since I’m in to-hell-with-it mode, let’s just make this even more public with the Bills-Chiefs Over 54. Fade accordingly, and have a great weekend!

PICK: Green Bay -3.5, Kansas City -3, Kansas City-Buffalo Over 54 (+560)
