Dak Prescott and the 3-5-1 Dallas Cowboys will travel to Sin City to take on the 2-7 Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
Prescott has been incredible this year and has stayed healthy, but the defense has cost him several wins.
Here are my top NFL player props for the Cowboys vs. Raiders, with a spotlight on the Dak Prescott odds, on Monday, November 17.
Dak Prescott prop pick
Dak Prescott best bet: Under 9.5 rushing yards (-110 at bet365)
Dak Prescott has always been a solid scrambler and great at using his legs when needed. However, as he has gotten older and gone through some injuries throughout his career, he has not taken off nearly as much as he used to.
Prescott has run 29 times this season for 121 yards. His 3.2 attempts per game and 13.4 yards per game are the third-lowest marks of his 10-year career. In five of his nine games this season, he has run for seven yards or less.
The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the best defenses in the NFL at preventing quarterback scrambles. In fact, they rank second in the league in scramble yards allowed. Last week, they held Bo Nix to -2 yards rushing on five carries.
Almost every quarterback has stayed below their typical rushing totals against the Raiders, and the ones that did get some yards did so on called quarterback runs, more so than scrambles. There is next to no chance the Cowboys call a designed run for Prescott.
Another positive angle on this play is that there is a good chance for the quarterback to kneel at the end of the game or even at the end of the half with the Cowboys favored. Even if he gets right around the 10–12-yard mark on the ground, he can still go backwards at the end with kneels.
Dak Prescott same-game parlay
Prescott Under 9.5 rushing yards
Cowboys moneyline
Williams anytime touchdown
KaVontae Turpin Under 1.5 receptions
To go with our best bet, I am going to take the Cowboys moneyline as a correlated play on possible kneels at the end.
Finally, adding Javonte Williams to score a touchdown, as the Raiders allow a ton of rushing touchdowns between the tackles, and KaVontae Turpin to have fewer than two receptions.
