The Washington Commanders travel to MetLife Stadium on Sunday for an NFC East matchup with the New York Giants.

My early Commanders vs. Giants predictions are eyeing Washington to bounce back after a brutal 31-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Read below for my NFL picks for Sunday, December 14.

Early Commanders vs Giants spread pick: Commanders +2.5

-110 at FanDuel

The Washington Commanders are having a brutal season after last year’s deep playoff run. The Commanders are 3-10, and they’ve now lost eight in a row. Sunday’s defeat to the Vikings was an eye-opener, and embarrassing, to say the least.

Jayden Daniels left early with an elbow injury, but Dan Quinn revealed he could’ve returned. The quarterback should be healthy for Week 15, and this is a clear opportunity to get back in the win column. While Washington is only 1-6 on the road, I do believe the terrible outing against Minnesota will provide serious motivation to respond.

The Commanders head into this one as a +2.5 underdog at FanDuel, and behind Daniels. I see them covering.

Early Commanders vs Giants total pick: Under 47.5

-115 at FanDuel

We’re looking at two teams that are very poor on both sides of the ball. Washington is scoring just 20.2 PPG, while the New York Giants are scoring 21.5. Defensively, they’re both allowing just under 30 points per contest. While one could believe that may result in a shootout, I’m not expecting it.

The Commanders will come out on top, but they won’t score a lot. The Giants barely ever score over 20 points in a game as well, and I do think Washington will be a lot better defensively after giving up 31 points to Minnesota.
