The Seahawks’ pass rush faces a depleted Chiefs offensive line. Josh Simmons is on injured reserve, while Jaylon Moore and Rashee Rice are out. Extra protection would leave Patrick Mahomes fewer targets against a defense built to pressure without heavy blitzing. That front is central to Jason Logan’s Chiefs vs. Seahawks prediction, which backs the Seahawks moneyline. The concern for Seattle is its own availability: DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu, and Nick Emmanwori are questionable, putting some of that pressure-and-coverage advantage at risk.

Sam Darnold has a healthy Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who caught 12 passes for 134 yards against the Broncos, to keep the Seahawks moving. Zach Charbonnet is out, limiting the Seahawks’ backfield options, although Mike Macdonald expects guard Anthony Bradford to play, pending activation from injured reserve. Sustained passing drives and Walker’s ability to finish possessions give Over 42.5 a path. Still, our projected total of 44 leaves little cushion: protection breakdowns or stalled red-zone trips could turn a competitive game into an Under.

Kenneth Walker III’s workload makes the touchdown case stronger than the homecoming story. He has 106 carries for 665 yards and six rushing touchdowns through five games, plus two receiving scores. He also scored twice in each of the Chiefs’ past two games. That gives him multiple ways to finish a drive without needing Mahomes to put up a huge passing total. Even in our projected Chiefs loss, 20 points leave room for Walker to reach the end zone.

The Seahawks are without linebackers Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt, although Tyrice Knight has no game designation. Walker’s 14 catches give him another route to scoring if running lanes are scarce, and Brashard Smith’s absence thins the Chiefs’ backfield. Missing tackles could still make reaching the red zone difficult. Walker’s established rushing and receiving role supports the anytime touchdown selection at a 54% Kalshi purchase quote; that percentage comes from his touchdown market, not our score model.

How our NFL AI predictions work

Our NFL AI predictions use a custom forecasting model built with GPT-6 Astra to project a final score for each matchup using historical scoring results and team-strength ratings. We review injuries and matchup news for the accompanying analysis.

The score forecasts are fixed before we compare them with the selected Kalshi spread and total to produce our ATS and Over/Under picks. Kalshi percentages are market quotes, separate from the score forecasts. Our touchdown pick is an AI-assisted editorial selection based on player usage and matchup research, not an output of the team-score model. We track results against the original selections and lines at time of publish.

We’ll continue updating the process as the season develops and publicly track every published score prediction, ATS pick, and Over/Under selection.

Odds and market lines are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
