Purdy vs the Kansas City Chiefs
The Iowa State product made his second-ever NFL appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, replacing then-starter Jimmy Garoppolo during a 44-23 blowout loss in Week 7.
Kyle Shanahan got his first real regular-season look at Brock Purdy, as the rookie threw for 66 yards — and unfortunately, an interception — in San Francisco's final offensive drive of the game.
Purdy took another loss to the Chiefs — albeit on a much bigger stage — in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The Niners QB performed well, throwing for 255 yards and a TD, but his club ultimately came up short in the 25-22 overtime loss.
