Before I get into my experience with Mr Loot, the most important thing to note is that you don’t need a Mr Loot promo code to get your three free opens as a new customer bonus. I signed up, deposited $50 with Apple Pay and opened boxes to see what that money is actually worth.

Is there a Mr Loot promo code?
You don't need a Mr Loot promo code to claim the three free opens available to new users. Although there's an optional promo code field during registration, I received the standard welcome offer without entering a code. The three opens have a combined listed price of $3.81, but the actual value of your pulls will vary. By comparison, the ClutchPacks promo code CP20 offers 20% off an eligible first pack purchase, making it worth considering if you're planning to spend money.
The return value on the new customer offer is completely randomised based on the opens. You’re essentially getting three low-value packs (they cost $1.27 each) for the chance of a big hit to get your account going.
With my free opens I got $2.30 back, and I’ve detailed those below.
| ⭐ Pack type | 🎊 Pull | 💰 Value |
|---|---|---|
| Pokemon Welcome Box | Eevee 133/165 | $0.90 |
| Pokemon Welcome Box | Charmeleon 005/165 | $0.90 |
| Gaming Welcome Box | Basic Mystery Key Stream | $0.50 |
Compared with the welcome offers other rip sites hand out, I think this offer is really low value. The pack opening value is $3.81 (3 x $1.27). ClutchPacks takes 20% off one purchase, which you could max out at $500 (20% of a $2,500 pack), and the Packz.io promo code gives you a sweat-free pack up to $100.
How to claim the Mr Loot welcome offer
1. Register at Mr Loot with an email address, Google or Steam.
2. You can leave the promo code field alone.
3. Verify your email.
4. Accept your three free opens.
5. Choose from the available packs.
6. Open your packs and discover your prize

Mr Loot sign-up process
Once you have opened your packs, you can keep what you win or sell it back for the value determined by Mr Loot. You can then use these funds and deposit more as you wish to rip more packs.
My test with Mr Loot
Although I didn’t use a Mr Loot promo code, I still claimed the welcome offer and went on to deposit funds to test the product in more detail. I’ve summarised my thoughts on that experience below.
Sign-up and deposit
The payment process was a highlight of my testing. After a quick registration, I used Apple Pay to make a $50 deposit without manually entering any card details. My $50 Apple Pay payment went through in under 5 seconds, and 50 Looties showed in my balance instantly. The entire process felt seamless, just like paying for anything else on your phone. No card details to type in, no hoops.
One thing to understand before you deposit: your $50 becomes 50 “Looties”, Mr Loot’s in-house credit. A Lootie is pegged at $1 for display, but purchased Looties can’t be withdrawn as cash. Once they’re in, they stay in.

My $50 purchase and confirmation at Mr Loot
Box selection
Selection is narrower than the menu suggests. Mr Loot lists six categories (Pokémon, Luxury, Gaming, Geek, Tech and Fashion), but in my time on the site the real depth sat in three of them: Pokémon, Gaming and Luxury.
First, I have to flag my disappointment at the lack of any sports card option. It’s my main passion, and many of the best card rip sites I’ve tested offer sports cards as standard, so this wasn’t a great start.
That said, within the options given, the value range is good. The Pokémon section alone runs from boxes under $1 to a $340 box, with themed boxes built around specific sets, Eeveelutions and a Charizard chase box.
The opening experience
Mr Loot uses a horizontal carousel that spins and stops on your item, the same reveal used on most mystery box sites. It works, but it isn’t fun. There’s no build-up, no sense of tearing into a pack, and after a few opens it felt like watching a slot reel.
Card-focused sites have raised the bar here. Rips by Tirumph, ClutchPacks, for example, puts real effort into recreating a physical rip. Sites like Phygitals are perhaps a bit lower quality but still higher production value than Mr Loot’s reveal animation.
Mr Loot is closer to an instant digital rip than a traditional card break: you open the product yourself and keep whatever you pull rather than buying a share of a group opening. If you're new to the terminology, our guide to card breaks vs. card rips explains the difference in more detail.
What I pulled
After my initial three free opens, I purchased a $51.83 pack and pulled a Charizard that Mr Loot valued at $46. I’ve certainly had lower ROI pulls, and despite knowing that most single opens land below the box price, I’m still annoyed with the $5.83 loss.
| 📦 Box | 💰 Price | 🎉 Pull | 💵 Mr Loot Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charizard | $51.83 | Mega Charizard X ex 023 [Holo] | $46.00 |
| Total | $51.83 | $46.00 |
Shipping and fees
Shipping is a flat $10.90 on orders under $50 and free over $50. Standard delivery is listed at 7 to 14 days, with an express option at checkout. My card arrived as advertised and came on day eight after processing (well within the window given).

My Mr Loot Charizard prize card
I think the rate is fair, but do the maths on your own pull and how much more you plan to rip before committing to a delivery.
My Charizard sat at $46, just under the free shipping line, so shipping it alone would have cost $10.90 and turned a $5.83 loss into a $16.73 one. You can bundle items into one order (up to five) to clear $50.
There’s no sell fee per item when you exchange. The catch is in the terms: the exchange value Mr Loot offers can be lower than the item’s listed value, the same way a trade-in price sits below retail.
Tips for getting the most from Mr Loot
Don’t waste time hunting for a code.
Use your free opens before depositing. They show you how the carousel works and what box values look like, at no cost.
Plan shipping around the $50 line. A $46 item costs $10.90 to send on its own; add a $5 item to the same order and it ships free.
Check the exchange value before swapping, because it can be below the listed value.
Treat a deposit as spent. Purchased Looties can’t be cashed out, so only put in what you’re happy to use on boxes.
Is the Mr Loot welcome offer worth it?
Yes, as long as you know what you’re getting. My three free opens produced items valued at $2.30, while my first paid box cost $51.83 and delivered a Charizard valued at $46 by Mr Loot. Although the combined assigned value of my pulls was $48.30, that doesn't account for shipping costs or mean I could withdraw that amount in cash.
The deposit flow is quick, and the Pokémon range is strong. Personally, the lack of sports cards across the site - let alone just on the welcome offer - is a big miss.
Even though it’s free, the initial opening experience is flat. If you want Pokémon singles and don’t care about the theater of a rip, it’s worth a go. If the rip is the fun part, I’d look at a card-first site instead.
Things to consider before you sign up

Payments and cashing out
Mr Loot takes Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and several cryptocurrencies. Card payments show on your statement as MRLOOT.COM.
Getting money out is more limited. Purchased Looties can’t be withdrawn at all. I’ve rarely withdrawn funds I’ve deposited without using them, but the closed loop credit system might have a bigger impact on some people.
For won items, Mr Loot may offer a crypto settlement instead of shipping, but it’s at the site’s discretion, requires ID and wallet verification, and fees can be deducted. Otherwise your choices are ship it or exchange it back for Looties.
Is Mr Loot legit?
From my test, yes: the deposit worked, the pull landed in my inventory with a clear value and the shipping terms match what the site advertises. I made sure I tested the shipping for real, and my item was delivered as expected and arrived within eight days.
Mr Loot is operated by Millerdale & Kingston Ventures LTD, a Cyprus-registered company, and its terms are governed by Cypriot law. US users agree to binding individual arbitration through the American Arbitration Association, with a class action waiver.
Although the branded products are available to win, Mr Loot isn’t affiliated with The Pokémon Company or any of the notable brands advertised on its site.
