The defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes are putting their 10-game win streak on the line when they travel to Madison, WI to take on the struggling Wisconsin Badgers.

Not only have the Buckeyes won ten consecutive games dating back to last season, but they are also 9-0-1 against the spread in those games.

Ohio State vs Wisconsin prediction

Ohio State vs Wisconsin best bet: Wisconsin team total Under 7.5 (-154)

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be bringing the best defense in the country into Madison on Saturday against one of the worst offenses in college football. Ohio State ranks first in the country, allowing only 6.8 points per game. Only Illinois has scored double digits against them, and they scored 16 last week, which was 18 points below their season average.

The Wisconsin Badgers rank 131st in scoring by averaging 15.5 points per game. A big part of that is skewed by scoring 42 points against Middle Tennessee State. In their other five games, they averaged 10.2 points per game, including getting shut out last week by Iowa.

The Buckeyes have the ninth-ranked rushing defense and the seventh-ranked passing defense in the country. The Badgers have the 116th-ranked rushing offense and 110th-ranked passing offense. Just do not see any way the Badgers can move the ball enough here to score multiple times in this game.

It will likely take a turnover or big play in special teams for Wisconsin to realistically find the endzone here. The good thing is that Ohio State very rarely turns the ball over, and Wisconsin rarely forces turnovers.

Ohio State vs Wisconsin same-game parlay

To add to the team total, I am going to add Lance Mason to stay Under his receiving total and Dilin Jones to go Over his rushing total for the Badgers. Jones gets a ton of carries even in blowouts, and the total is just way too low for his volume.

Ohio State vs Wisconsin SGP

  • Wisconsin team total Under 7.5
  • Lance Mason Under 31.5 receiving yards
  • Dilin Jones Over 32.5 rushing yards

Our deep-ball SGP: Complete domination

Finally adding one of the Buckeyes running backs to score will boost our same game parlay odds here. I am rolling with Bo Jackson, who has scored three times this season and twice in the last two games.

Ohio State vs Wisconsin SGP

  • Wisconsin team total Under 7.5
  • Lance Mason Under 31.5 receiving yards
  • Dilin Jones Over 32.5 rushing yards
  • Bo Jackson anytime TD
