One of the most fascinating teams to follow this season has been the USC Trojans, who followed up two miracle comebacks to open the season with a resounding win against Utah. Are the Trojans an actual force or will they revert to the mean on Saturday against an upstart Colorado bunch? That’s what college football betting is all about, my friends.

The Trojans are halfway home in the conference schedule. Now let’s see if they can put it all together for the second straight week as they return home to the L.A. Coliseum.

Here are our best college football free picks and predictions for Colorado at No. 18 USC, with kickoff set for Saturday, November 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.

Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

Colorado’s game against Arizona State was postponed because of COVID-19, which means the Buffaloes last took the field two weeks ago, escaping Stanford with a 35-32 victory. Colorado has had no problems scoring this season, and the Buffaloes are effective both in the air and on the ground: Quarterback Sam Noyer has thrown for 512 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while running back Jarek Broussard leads the team with 308 yards and three scores.

The Trojans were 3.5 point underdogs last week in Utah but easily dispatched the Utes 33-17. Quarterback Kedon Slovis is dangerous in Graham Harrell’s offense, having thrown for 917 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions this year. Slovis also has plenty of targets, with four wideouts already eclipsing 100 receiving yards on the season, paced by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Drake London.

While I expected a better effort from the Utes, last Saturday was Utah’s first game of the season, and Colorado won’t be as flat-footed. The Buffs are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and they have enough weapons to keep this game close, while USC is lucky to be undefeated.

PREDICTION: Colorado +13.5 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

Slovis will get receive the spotlight heading into this game and rightly so—he’s an exceptional talent. However, Noyer has more than held his own during the first two weeks of the season, helping the Buffs average 42 points per game over their first two contests.

The Over is also 4-0 in USC’s last four games against teams with a winning record.

PREDICTION: Over 64.0 (-110)

Team Total Pick

The USC defense played its best game of the season in Salt Lake City, but Utah looked very much like a team that had been battling COVID-19.

USC should win, but the Trojans will have a difficult time keeping the Buffaloes off the scoreboard, and another miracle finish isn’t out of the question.

PREDICTION: Colorado team total Over 24.5 (+100)
