Spencer Rattler and the Sooners offense is hitting its stride right now, as the QB is coming off a four-touchdown performance in a 41-13 pasting of rival Oklahoma State.

Don’t look now, but the Oklahoma Sooners have suddenly carved themselves out yet another path to the Big 12 Championship game. If OU wins out – and that’s looking like an increasing possibility – the Sooners will have successfully recovered from an 0-2 start in conference play and become a significant factor when college football betting kicks into high gear during bowl season.

However, the Sooners can’t afford to slip up, and a dangerous trip to Morgantown is exactly where something like that could happen.

Let’s take a look at our best college football free picks and predictions for No. 14 Oklahoma at West Virginia. Kickoff is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

Last week’s highly anticipated Bedlam battle between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State turned out to be a disappointment for fans but exactly what the Sooners wanted. Oklahoma dominated their in-state rivals 41-13, with an offense that has been unstoppable in recent weeks. Freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler tattooed the Oklahoma State defense 301 yards and four touchdowns while running back Rhamondre Stevenson carved up Cowboys for 141 yards rushing.

West Virginia had last week off, and the Mountaineers will see if their fierce defense, which yields just 274 yards and 17.8 points per game, is up to the task of slowing the Sooners attack. Offensively, the Mountaineers will have to find a way to generate points, so expect a steady diet of running back Leddie Brown, who led the team with 154 yards rushing in a 24-6 win over TCU two weeks ago.

Playing at night in Morgantown is never easy, and this is a perfect letdown spot for a Sooners team that just disposed of their arch-rivals. West Virginia is 5-0-1 ATS in its last six games at home, and the ‘Eers should be able to keep this game within the number.

PREDICTION: West Virginia +10.5 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

Oklahoma has scored at least 30 points in every single game this season, and I don’t expect that trend to come to an end on Saturday night.

However, the Sooners defense benefitted from an early game injury to Cowboys quarterback Spencer Sanders last week, so I’m not convinced they’ve suddenly made significant improvements. Plus the Over is 6-0 in the last six games of this series.

PREDICTION: Over 55.0 (-110)

Team Total Pick

West Virginia isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire offensively. But the Mountaineers are surprisingly averaging 29.4 points per game on offense.

I’ll take them to best their team total and give the Sooners a scare.

PREDICTION: West Virginia team total Over 20.5 (-175)
