Clemson vs California:
California +1.5
This is a horrible spot for Clemson while traveling across the country on short rest and playing at 10:30 p.m. ET.
This is the latest kickoff time for a Clemson football game since the 1982 Mirage Bowl vs. Wake Forest kicked off at 11 p.m. ET and was played in Japan.
Additionally, Clemson is coming off an extremely fortunate win and cover versus North Carolina last week. The Tigers trailed 17-3, but a lengthy rain delay aided an eventual 28-20 victory.
Meanwhile, California has likely been preparing for two weeks, as it hosted FCS Wagner last week as a 58.5-point favorite, winning 49-7.
Both teams are 2-1, but California has posted a +0.4 yards per play margin while Clemson is -0.8.
I would play this to PK.
Oregon vs USC: Over 62.5
The average total score between Oregon and USC is 75 over the last 10 meetings, well above this posted total.
All three of Oregon’s games this season have gone Over the total by an average of 12 points per game. On the other side, USC has seen three of its four games go Over by an average of eight points per outing.
USC hasn't played an offense that ranks in the top 70 so far this season, and yet the Trojans rank No. 105 while allowing 5.8 yards per play. Now they face an Oregon unit that sits in the top 25 in yards per play, top 20 in yards per game, and the Ducks field the No. 5 scoring offense, averaging 49.7 points per contest.
Finally, one could argue the Oregon defense has been the most disappointing unit in college football so far this season. What was expected to be a top-five outfit is allowing 33 points per game to its two FBS opponents so far this season. Now the Ducks face the most talented offense they’ve seen so far this season.
I would play this to 63.
Oklahoma vs Georgia:
Georgia -13.5
This was a power ratings’ best bet, and I’m also including it here.
My power ratings make Georgia a 15-point favorite, and Kalshi features the absolute best price in the market, just below a key number.
The Bulldogs are 3-0 against the spread this season with an average cover of eight points per game.
While they've played a very weak schedule, the Dawgs rank No. 1 in the country in yards per play margin at +5.6. They're up to No. 2 in my power ratings.
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton has quietly put up some of the best stats in the country, ranking No. 1 in QBR, No. 1 in QB rating, and No. 1 in yards per attempt. He also has yet to throw an interception.
On the other side, I downgraded Oklahoma another two points for its performance versus New Mexico last week. The Sooners only won 14-6 as 21.5-point favorites.
Georgia’s No. 2 defense in yards per play allowed is not a good matchup for a struggling Oklahoma offense that ranks No. 115 nationally in yards per game.
Finally, the SEC availability reports came out Wednesday night, and Oklahoma could be playing without four starters on defense. This is also an Oklahoma defense that has yet to face a top-100 offense this year, and it now clashes with the No. 1 scoring offense.
I would play this to -14.
