CFB Week 10 preview with Andrew Caley and Douglas Farmer

Vanderbilt vs Texas best bet

Sedrick Alexander anytime touchdown (+150 at FanDuel)

Vanderbilt should lean on a running back that has scored at least once in six of its seven games against Power Four opponents. Handing off to and finding Sedric Alexander in the flat has repeatedly paid off for the Commodores — trusting him in the most important moments may be crucial to Vanderbilt finding its fourth SEC win of the season.

Penn State vs Ohio State best bet

Under 44.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Penn State's offense lacks any semblance of verticality, so the Buckeyes will comfortably load the box and make life hell for the Nittany Lions. On the flip side, the Buckeyes play at a slow pace (132nd in plays per minute) and are facing a Penn State defense that still possesses a wealth of talent and holds opponents to 19.4 PPG.

Miami vs SMU best bet

Carson Beck Over 1.5 passing TD (+106 at FanDuel)

The SMU front seven is stout against the run, and we should expect Hurricanes' offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson to lean on Beck’s arm — especially since the Mustangs defense has been shredded through the air, allowing 303.5 passing yards per game, 16 passing touchdowns, and nearly 13 yards per completion.

Rutgers vs Illinois best bet

Over 62.5 (-105 at FanDuel)

It has been a struggle in Big Ten play for these two teams, and the biggest reason is their inability to stop opposing offenses: Rutgers ranks 111th in scoring defense, while the Illini sit 90th.

Army vs Air Force best bet

Over 49.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Air Force has been outstanding on the ground, running the ball 52.6 times per game for 5.4 yards per carry. As a result, the Falcons are putting up 36.3 ppg. The problem is that they just can’t stop anybody, including allowing 5.5 yards per play on the ground, which plays right into Army’s hands.
