While we could see rain and gusty winds near kickoff, the latest Arkansas vs. Texas A&M weather report expects those conditions to taper off shortly after the 7 p.m. ET kickoff (ESPN2) tonight when these SEC rivals battle at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas.

The latest forecast for tonight's clash calls for temperatures around 80 degrees with showers and thunderstorms possible near kickoff. The evening looks drier from there, putting the main weather concern at the start of the game.

Arkansas vs Texas A&M weather forecast

The National Weather Service forecast near Kyle Field calls for 80 degrees at the 6 p.m. CT kickoff, falling to 75 by 9 p.m. North winds should hold around 10 mph with gusts near 15 mph early.

Rain chances sit at 34% at kickoff before dropping to 15% at 7 p.m. CT and 10% by 9 p.m. Thunderstorms remain possible around the start, though the hourly forecast drops that concern later in the evening.

As of Saturday morning, Texas A&M's official viewing guide still listed a 7 p.m. ET kickoff. Nearby lightning could delay the start even if the heaviest rain misses the stadium.

How weather could impact Arkansas vs Texas A&M

Arkansas quarterback KJ Jackson threw for 309 yards against Tulsa last week, including 195 to former Aggies receiver Chris Marshall. A slick football could make it tougher for that connection to pick up where it left off if showers reach Kyle Field early.

Texas A&M needs a sharper night from Marcel Reed after he completed just 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards against LSU. The modest wind should leave the Aggies free to attack downfield, but any early showers could add to the challenge of getting that passing game back on track.

Arkansas vs Texas A&M prediction markets

As of early Saturday afternoon, Kalshi's markets had Texas A&M favored by 13.5 points with a 50.5-point total and roughly an 84% chance of an Aggies victory.

The improving forecast should give both offenses more freedom as the night goes on. Early rain could make for a sloppy start, but the combination of fading showers and modest winds offers little support for taking the Under on weather alone.
