Pick: Houston (-120)
One of the biggest games of the day is a clash between No. 6-ranked Houston and No. 12 Texas Tech in Lubbock. Per usual, the Cougars are a defensive powerhouse, ranking fourth in the country in adjusted defense per KenPom.
The Red Raiders have an efficient offense, but their half-court sets are stale. It's either JT Toppin down low or shooters standing around him and spotting up from the arc.
The Cougars' ability to prevent the ball from entering the post and close down outside shooters will pose problems for Texas Tech's offense.
Meanwhile, Houston's offense is hitting its stride with freshman guard Kingston Flemings (15.6 ppg, 5.4 apg) looking like a lottery pick. The Cougs have won 11 games in a row, including a 69-65 home victory against TT on January 6.
Seton Hall vs 
DePaul
Time: 5:00 p.m. ET
Location: Chicago, IL
TV: truTV
Pick: Seton Hall (-150)
Both teams focus on defense, and while DePaul is a solid 60th in the country in adjusted defense, the Pirates are far better, ranking 10th.
This should be a rock fight with plenty of missed shots from both teams, but Seton Hall does a better job taking care of the ball and will generate second chances since it's 28th in offensive rebounding rate.
The Pirates have won 10 of the last 13 meetings between these Big East foes while going 4-2 in the last six trips to the Wintrust Arena.
Cincinnati vs 
Arizona State
Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
Location: Tempe, AZ
TV: CBS
Pick: Cincinnati (-140)
The Cincinnati Bearcats have lost six straight road games, but will be in a good spot to buck that trend here. They're coming off an ugly loss against No. 1 Arizona, but have a much easier matchup against Arizona State, which has lost seven of its last eight.
Cincinnati is eighth in the country in adjusted defense and will be able to stifle an ASU attack that needs to get to the free-throw line to have any success.
The Bearcats' usually tepid offense should have more success than usual against the Sun Devils, who rank outside the Top 250 in opponent 2PT% (53.9%), opponent 3PT% (36%), and defensive rebounding rate.
