It’s a 4/1 ticket count on Georgetown, and money is also 4/1. The public is on Georgetown,” BetMGM Nevada’s Jeff Stoneback said of action as of 3:30 p.m. ET. The total is down two points to 143, but action is light and the book has a minor need on the Over at this point.

Against the spread (ATS) pick
Georgetown is back in the Big East Tournament Championship Game for the first time since 2007 thanks to winning three consecutive tourney games as underdogs. The run means the Hoyas are 7-2 SU and ATS in their last nine games overall.
In fact, the last team to beat the Hoyas not named Connecticut was, of course, Creighton. The Bluejays got the best of the Hoyas the last time they met, winning a 63-48 slugfest and covering as 7.5-point chalk. But that was a revenge spot after Georgetown shocked Creighton 86-79 as 14-point underdogs back on Feb. 3. So, the Hoyas know they can win this game.
But how did Georgetown get here? Well, it's excellent at cleaning up the boards, making free throws, and hitting some clutch shots when needed. But most importantly the Hoyas have been giving opponents nightmares on the perimeter. They're limiting opponents to a 26.2 percent shooting from deep during the tournament. They’ll need to keep that up against an excellent offensive Creighton team.
The Bluejays defeated Butler and UConn to return to the title game for the first time since 2017. As noted, Creighton is led by an offense that ranks 11th in KemPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency. But Creighton struggles when teams run them off the 3-point line, and you can bet that will be Georgetown’s strategy in this one.
It’s hard to know if the Hoyas will keep this run going, but the Big East Tournament is known for producing some magical moments in March. We’re betting they at least keep this interesting.
PREDICTION: Georgetown +8 (-110)
Over/Under Pick
The total for the Big East final hit the board at 145, which is considerably lower than Georgetown and Creighton’s two meetings in the regular season, but there’s a good reason for that.
While the Hoyas’ upset win on Feb. 3 easily went Over the 150.5 total by 14.5 points, the second matchup on Feb. 9 went Under the 153.5 by a whopping 42.5 points. So, oddsmakers are thinking this one may fall somewhere in between.
These teams combine to score a hair over 150 points per game but have both picked up their play on the defensive end recently. The Bluejays are allowing just 56 points per game in the tournament, while the Hoyas are allowing 59.3 in their three tourney wins.
And what Georgetown would love to do more than anything is slow down the pace in a grind-it-out kind of game, and that has us leaning Under.
