The New Mexico Lobos will look to continue their NIT run as they host the George Washington Revolutionaries tonight.

The Lobos have been dominating weaker opposition all season long, and I’m expecting them to cover again in my New Mexico vs. George Washington predictions below.

Keep reading for my free college basketball picks for Sunday, March 22.

George Washington vs New Mexico prediction

Who will win George Washington vs New Mexico?

New Mexico: The New Mexico Lobos have made a habit of beating up on lesser opponents this year, going a combined 21-3 in games outside of Quad 1.

On the other side, George Washington has only gone 2-10 in its Quad 1 and Quad 2 games. With New Mexico playing this game on its home court, it should comfortably advance to the quarterfinals.

George Washington vs New Mexico best bet: New Mexico -7 (-110)

New Mexico plays fast and is capable of putting up a lot of points, as it did in its 107-83 win over the Sam Houston Bearkats.

That same script could play out tonight against a George Washington defense that allows 73.9 ppg and hasn’t found success against stronger opponents this year.

The Lobos are averaging 81.5 ppg over their last 10 games with a 54.7% effective field goal percentage in that span.

Those numbers should scare the Revolutionaries, who rank 140th nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency. I’m taking New Mexico to cover at home tonight.

Covers COVERS INTEL: George Washington is 9-11 straight up in its last 20 games, allowing opponents to shoot 34.6% from 3-point range in that span.

George Washington vs New Mexico same-game parlay

I’m expecting the Lobos to run wild tonight, which has me backing both New Mexico on the spread and the Over even at a robust number. As mentioned, New Mexico's offense is running hot while GW's defense is bleeding.

As a part of that offensive barrage, I’m backing freshman Tomislav Buljan to score Over 14.5 points after he put up 22 points on 8-for-11 shooting against Sam Houston.

George Washington vs New Mexico SGP

  • New Mexico -7
  • Over 161.5
  • Tomislav Buljan Over 14.5 points

Our beyond the arc SGP: Making it rain

As a part of his explosive first-round performance, Buljan hit a 3-point shot, and I’m backing him to get another one tonight against a Revolutionaries defense that has struggled mightily to stop opponents from taking advantage from deep.

Leading New Mexico scorer Jake Hall should also get in on the action and hit Over 3.5 threes, something he’s done in three of his last four games.

George Washington vs New Mexico SGP

  • New Mexico -7
  • Tomislav Buljan Over 0.5 threes
  • Jake Hall Over 3.5 threes

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
